when alone only do the routes that are busy like Platte Klip Gorge or Lion's Head. Otherwise be with at least three people as you could for exemple twist your ankle and someone may need to get help. Bring enough water and sun cream. A windbreaker may be handy. If you go up Table Mountain and you want to get the cable car back then check before if the Cable Car is running. When there is a bit of wind they stop running.
Avoid the tours.....had 2 Chinese tours in the cable car & my head was tortured with the high pitched, 100mph verbal assault, actually told then to "SHUT UP" for the sake of my fellow non tour group tourists
The mountain is a wonderful destination but it can get very busy so plan your visit carefully (there is good info on their website). There are good restuarants on the mountain but take water, your camera and leave your valuables behind and venture a little further from the arrivals point - really worthwhile for the views, the bird and plant life. Main tip - check the weather forecasts and book in advance
Unfortunately and inevitably, it has been taken over by tourists. There are always queues and waits are inevitable. However, it is worth the wait and the queueing - the views are spectacular from the height of Table Mountain.
Just pick the right weather 👈🏖. If you ouck a windy ir overcast day it's the worst if a world class vista. On a good day it's where the world began. Looking down on Cape Town city bowl or over Robin Island and uo the west ciast is beautiful proper 🤗
Went up to the visitor centre on the sightseeing bus but unfortunately couldn’t go up the mountain as Cable Car & facilities were closed for maintenance. They also close if cloudy. So be careful as daughter had bought tickets in advance & company wouldn’t refund.
A very quaint hotel/apartment facility. Overlooking the beach was great and it is so close to anything you need. The staff was very friendly and despite a few glitches here and there, remained cool and courteous. The interior and the kitchen facilities are very pleasant with everything you need. Making one's own breakfast with the supplies provided at a time which is suitable to one's own timeline was great. The weather was excellent and even saw swimmers in the water before the sun came over Table Mountain - - in July!
Apartment was great, awesome views of Table mountain and easy access to Cape Town CBD and main roads. Shower was nice and warm. Everything worked, Robben island was great, Photos with the Houtbay seal and Gelato was cool too. Took some great snaps
Very good location. Close to Radisson Blue Hotel for drinks and dinner. Walking distance to the V&A Waterfront. On the harbor and good view of the boats and table mountain. Reasonable priced if you take into account the location.
Beautiful day in Cape Town and we could see the beautiful table mountain from the excellent aspect of the room. A stunning stay. This hotel is a place I regularly return to or use as a spill over when I have family visiting
Perfect location close to restaurants, boat trips and red tourist bus. Lots of shopping at the V&A Mall. Uber was always close to the Hotel and worked well. Lovely rooms and great views of Table Mountain.

Table Mountain combined with winelands, beaches, markets, gourmet food and fine wine make Cape Town a spectacular city to visit especially in Summer!
When in the sightseeing bus and driving around table mountain and sea point...The view of the city does the magic
Table mountain is a must, the historic Company's garden is lovely, the fort is a must and of course it is convenient to visit the vineyards, cape peninsula, Hermanus etc
The magic of the Table Mountain and the ocean, open spaces, beautiful vegetation and exceptional cleanliness.
It depends what you're looking for in your photo. To get the best view, go right up to Table Mountain or Rhodes Memorial. Drive along the coast line and stop at Camps Bay for a relaxing view and birds all around. In town you can get interesting scenes from everyday life. Cape Town is truly rich in providing great photography scenes.
You can go and start hiking on Devil's Peak or Table Mountain in a few minutes from your hotel
