Had a private little well maintained garden with private seating area to sit outside and enjoy the garden. Premises is well secured with electric gate, security camera's and security gates. Room is nice and spacious with a lot of cupboard space. TV is nice and big. Kitchen has a kettle, fridge and a microwave. Nice coffee, sugar, milk, water and biscuits was in the room. Nice size basin to wash up in with dishwash soap. Just needed a kitchen cloth and towel. Space was well utilized for the layout of the room, kitchen and shower. Hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Overall, comfortable and felt safe.

The place is beautiful, the gardens are amazing with fish pool. The rooms are comfortable and the Guys that owns the place there are super amazing people, it's my second time staying there and I will definitely stay there again :-)

I was so pleasantly surprised by Welkom.
I was so pleasantly surprised by Welkom. The people are exceptionally warm, friendly and helpful. We went to the shopping centre and ate at the Spur and found both experiences excellent in terms of customer service. We felt really safe.

Rooms are big and has own bathroom. But that room didn't have air conditioning, bar fridge even a garbage bin in our room was not there except the one in the toilet. Microwave has to there in our room but we didn't get it and was not given an alternative as to where the microwave was that we can use if we so want

Welkom is a pretty cool place, but this is in the context of...
Welkom is a pretty cool place, but this is in the context of a weekend away for motor racing events at Phakisa Freeway. The vibe is pretty good, and the town really isn’t in bad shape by SA’s poor standards where many of these smaller municipalities are mismanaged and falling apart at the seams. There are some not-to-be missed experiences - a steak dinner at the Robers Club, or tieing the dog loose at Mustang Bar and Grill. Navigating around the town is an adventure in itself, with the never-ending roundabouts making sure you lose you bearings all the time.

I can’t say much about the place.
I can’t say much about the place. We were only there for one day. I couldn’t find places to visit and relax. Not surprising as most places had to close due to COVID. Other than museums and libraries I couldn’t find any tourist attraction places. From the little that I could get, I won’t recommend Welkom for someone who likes outdoor activities such as hiking or game viewing.
