From the formal side: Very good European cuisine every day, ocean right in front of your door, amazing wild life and very attentive, approachable personnel, which suits all of your needs. From my heart: Apart from a really incredible picturesque location, which would really touch something inside your inner world, the staff’s scrupulous attention to your needs makes this stay unforgettable and gives the warmth as if you are staying at home. My most sincere and deep thanks to Vie ta Vis Mirissa, to all of lovely people, who made my family’s stay so enjoyable, and separately to Mr. Abheetha, as well as Mr.Darrell And Mrs Vajira.

My stay at Mirissa Eco Hills was exactly what I needed! Located in a tranquil sanctuary of lush green foliage, I loved falling asleep to the sounds of nature outside. I arrived to a nearby bus stop and got a tuk tuk for the short journey to the accommodation. The owner Suronge is a delightful, accommodating and thoughtful host. He showed me where to walk to reach Mirissa, which ended up being a beautiful walk through the Sri Lankan countryside, a highlight of my stay in Sri Lanka so far. It’s not far, 20 mins walk. He recommended a restaurant to get the best and cheap Roti in Mirissa. In the evening Suronge even offered to pick me up some food or drink from the town as he thought I hadn’t eaten all day. Breakfast the next day was brought to my room at a time that suited me! I had delicious veggie roti, coconut pancakes, a banana and a pot of tea. There was a lot of love and care poured into the breakfast and it tasted delicious. Suronge was so kind, accommodated my check out time and ordered me a tuk tuk for when I needed it. The spacious room had a big four poster bed and a balcony that looked out to rice paddies. I enjoyed watching life pass by from up on the balcony. The bathroom had plenty of hot water too. My only wish is that I had more nights to stay here. Don’t hesitate, book this for your tranquil country side get away immediately. You won’t regret it! The value for money is incredible.

A lovely place to stay. Super clean rooms with an incredible fan (I hardly even needed the AC the fan was that good!). Lovely garden to sit in to have the delicious and filling breakfast that they make (changes each day! - banana pancakes, omelette, Sri Lankan string hoppers and curry - always served with fruit). Across the road/down a lane way from a beach you can swim at, walking distance to lazy right and a few mins tuk tuk to popular surf spots (Marshmelows, lazy left and Kabalana). The owners are so kind. I came in very late from my flight and they were up waiting. I organised a taxi transfer with them which was fairly priced and easy to spot upon arrival. The driver was great. The accomodation like many other in the area is by the train tracks but I would only hear this around 6:30am or later. Thanks for a wonderful stay :)
