Whakaipo Lodge was a superb place to stay in every way. The owners, Garth & Angie went beyond the call to make our stay memorable & easy to highly recommend from the welcome, to the pre dinner drinks & canapes, the sharing of local knowledge & the beautifully presented, comfortable rooms. The breakfast was 10/10 using locally sourced high quality products. The coffee also got a gold star.

We had a nice view of the lake and the room was comfortable and quiet. Much better room and value than Haka Lodge, where we stayed last time we came to Taupo.

Room 1 was great as you are the only room with direct access to the swimming pool and relaxing area behind the lodge. It was our own private sun trap a lot of the time. The property is great for Ironman Taupo.
