Cozy, quaint family atmosphere. Cute wood cabin lodge. Clean rooms & comfy beds. They even gave us a s’mores kit in case we wanted to sit at one of the provided fire pits. It was too cold outside! Also fish food for their fish! The restaurant was closed for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend but the host offered us to eat breakfast with their family. Very welcoming.

Small adequate rooms and very nice wood interior walls reminiscent of a lodge motif. Large bathroom, hot water and large grassy area with fire pit. We utilized it both nights.

The staff/owner was very nice and attentive, the room was a perfect quaint lodge with a frontier motif, a porch on which you could appreciate the sunset over the mountains, and an outside barbecue and table to enjoy a meal. It had a romantic feel that me and my wife enjoyed and reminded us of our honey moon. The room was very well cared by our great host. Congrats!

John was a very good host. He was friendly and accommodating with my requests. I had a spot to park my boat when needed and very importantly the lodge is dog friendly. Conveniently located on Highway 395 with Twin Lakes, Bridgeport Reservoir, Virginia and Robinson Creeks a short drive away.

Big Meadow Lodge is a super cute pet friendly fishing lodge. The cabins are clean, comfortable and well thought out for outdoorsmen and women with a place to hang your waders outside and fishing pole holders inside. Great view of the Eastern Sierras. The host was very friendly at check-in and gave me a bag of dog treats for our pups. We only stayed a night on our way to Yosemite, but would love to stay longer and enjoy the Bridgeport area in the future.

The standout feature of this place is it's location. It's *not* near the town, there are no facilities or eateries nearby, but you can sit outside in the meadow and grill/BBQ while watching sunset over the mountains. Its right on the highway, but at the same time peaceful and quiet. The rooms are mini cabins/lodges as one would expect. The showers were nice. There was no AC but there was enough cool breeze coming thru the windows.
