Excellent host with much to say about Oakhurst, Yosemite, California, and more if you want to chat, yet very conscious of your privacy and never insists or intrudes whatsoever - excellent communication via booking.com's messaging facility. A beautiful house on above a gently flowing river, a short drive from Oakhurst, a town not far from Yosemite National Park (about an hour by car to the Valley). A generous room with the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in, an excellent, well-equipped bathroom, and all in total silence. Really nice view over the river (if the room is available) - it rained/snowed heavily while we were there, and were delighted to enjoy the peace of this room during it.

It was a perfect stay :) we enjoyed every day with the owner and even despite of the closed south entrance cause of the washburn it was a perfect place to reach the west entrance of Yosemite nationalpark. Thanks eddie for everything, we are looking for the next BBQ at your terrace!

My only complaint is that the restaurant closed the day before we got there. We were expecting the restaurant to be open because they said it was. we would like to have been able to have a few drinks and a snack at least. People don’t want to do that and drive. I think it’s a bit of a missed opportunity to have everything closed. maybe the bar and some frozen snacks. Except for that I loved everything else.

The parking is large and in front of the rooms. Quite good the breakfast, served in a cozy room or terrace on the road side but with a beautiful view over the mountains.
