As an experienced ranger with a deep knowledge of the local wildlife, Bjorn enriched our stay with insightful safaris and engaging conversations about animals. Bjorn's family contributed to the warm and welcoming atmosphere, making us feel like part of their own. Delicious meals, their genuine care for our comfort and enjoyment was evident throughout our stay.

We made lifelong friends and were experienced nature like never before. Visits to lion families, elephants visiting us at the pool. We can’t wait to go back!

Our stay was fantastic. The hosts are incredibly friendly and we felt very comfortable. Our room was well equipped and very clean. The food, freshly prepared by Ilse, was excellent. You are in the middle of nature and any minute an animal could walk by. That was really exciting. Thank you so much for such a lovely time with you. We will definitely come back again.

Excellent! Fantastic morning and sunset game drives with Niko who has good knowledge of the animals and plants. Nice food and evenings by the firepit. The staff took good care of us. Wildlife just outside of our chalet. A must stay within the greater Kruger Park.

Situated in the middle of the Grietjie Gamereserve on the edge of the Kruger National Park and with arrival in the morning in Joburg convenient to reach the same day. Lodge, chalet, meals and especially the extremely nice and attentive team around owner Sonia (not selling :-)) leave nothing to be desired. And the tours through the reserve with the "in-house" guide are absolutely worthwhile and informative, a must - thanks again Happy! Only to recommend!

We were made very welcome, like part of the family, sharing stories around the fire before enjoying a wonderful dinner. The game drives were excellent with numerous lion sightings and a great variety of other game. During the day the elephants come to the water hole directly outside the fence and stay for a long time.

The wild animals are right next to the vence. The rooms were clean, cosy, spacious and just what you need after a safari day. Xander is extremely hospitable and Helen cooks the best breakfast, lunch and diner for you (Italian style). We recommend doing the activities with Xander in Grietjie instead of doing it yourself in Kruger, as he knows everything about the nature and the animals.RenéeYoung couple

We especially liked that we got an honest and realistic perspective on safari and living in the nature reserves. The owners take a lot of responsibility and put a lot of work into creating an environment were tourists and the animals can enjoy themselves and be safe. I couldn't recommend it enough :)
