Nambiti Plains offers accommodation within the malaria-free Nambiti Big 5 Game Reserve. It boasts accommodation with panoramic views of the open plains. The swimming pool is often visited by elephants, and guests can enjoy game drives and walking safaris.

This was an incredible 4 days during our South Africa vacation. 5 stars throughout - the rooms, the food, the staff, the whole experience. JP took us out on game drives and he was the best. Knowledgeable, funny and caring - not just about the guests ( were we warm enough, what did we want to drink for our sundowners?) but also about the animals. He maintained a very strict code of conduct to ensure animals protection and well being and really respected that. After we left there and went on a self drive game drive, we laughed that we wished we had taken him with us for the rest of the holiday. Meals were delicious and especially appreciated really good vegetarian options instead of being offered “salad” or “omelettes”. The owners were in residence while we were there and it was an added bonus to meet them - loved their commitment to the environment.

Nestled on top of a cliff inside the private Nambiti Reserve, Esiweni Luxury Safari Lodge boasts views of the Sundays River and a sun deck with infinity pool.

Ladysmith is a 35-minute drive from Esiweni Luxury Safari Lodge.

We had the most amazing stay at Esiweni . The staff go out of their way to make you comfortable and meet your every need. The food was exceptional with each meal being an absolute treat. The rooms were beautiful, so romantic, private and very comfortable. We had great massages on our deck and booked a fabulous hot air balloon flight with a private breakfast in the middle of the reserve , it will stay for ever in our memories . We had very exciting game drives with our very knowledgeable game ranger Pemba. The lodge also went out of their way to give us a special private dinner in our last night for our anniversary with Zulu danses. Thank you Esiweni team for all the special little touches and making our stay unforgettable!

This is my third stay at Nambiti and my second visit to Springbok Lodge. I rate Nambiti as one of the best safari's South Africa has to offer. It's a much shorter drive than Kruger and the setting and game are wonderful. I loved everything about Sprinkbok Lodge, from the food to the luxury tent. I'll definitely be back!

In a perfect location, the amazing view overlooking the vast valley from the deck is all to yourself, where they set up the dinner for us. Each one of the meals were all very satisfying , just the right taste And not to mention, the superb Safari experience guided by experienced team, who knows it all. We saw a big herd elephants, cheetah hunting, brother lions eating their prey! This indeed luxury lodge of exquisite taste is yet cozy with very hearty hospitality.

My daughter and I had an excellent stay at Nambiti plains. Having stayed at a few lodges, this was my favourite, the lodge location and the small exclusive size of the lodge made the stay even more special. We loved every minted and only wish we could have stayed longer

Small lodge which allowed a lot of focus on individual guests. Stefan was a fantastic guide getting us some great sightings and was very accommodating to what the group wanted to focus on trying to find. The lodge itself was fantastic with beautiful views and the suite was also incredible with outside showers, we saw various animals just from our veranda. Like all safari price is not low but as an experience it is fantastic value for money 10/10 recommend!

The staff are absolutely exceptional, the way everything is coordinated from the time you arrive at their parking lot is 5 star. The accommodation has a very earthy yet elegant feel to it that is literally situated in the heart of an open game reserve. Yes, the animals do come right up to the lodges as there aren't any fences. Game viewing is also 5 stars, which boggles my mind because the reserve is not that far off to the nearest town (its an incredible work of conservation).

Fantastic location, superb lodges and excellent dining facilities. We were very well looked after by all the staff but with special mentions to both Cindy and Ventina who served all our meals and just as importantly provided excellent bar service - all done so professionally and with a welcoming smile. Their dancing skills were good too ! Special thanks also to our very professional ranger David who was very knowledgeable about all the animals and excellent at his job - all of which he delivered with utmost courtesy and a smiling charm.

From start to finish we were looked after by the staff at Nambiti Hills. Having personally been fortunate enough to stay at many Private Game Lodges in South Africa, this was a first time for my husband and the experience was first class and up there with the big names in Sabi Sands! Biggie (our game ranger) was knowledgeable and made sure we had a great game viewing experience. And the food, was out of this world!
