We did the 3 day trek through them which was incredible. We also saw some orangutans on the property and from our balcony.

I loved the location of the jungle lodge, it was perched on a jungle hillside... truly amazing😍 I had Ian & Jeffrey as my guides & they were very informative and helpful throughout the jungle trek. Yanta was another assistant & I couldn't be happier about it... so kind & friendly :). Awesome experience! I will be back one day!

The nearest airport is Kualanamu International, 116 km from the lodge, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. this is a magical place to stay. the setting on the river is fabulous but also every member of staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. the star was Rio, our guide on the jungle trek to see the orangutan (and yes we had a very close encounter with a mother and her baby! and Joe who steered us down river on the tubing ride home. Brigitte helped organise that and the transfers from Medan and was helpful when we had to change plans last minute. The drivers who picked us up and dropped us off were great too.

Even though the bathroom was pretty simple, we enjoyed our stay there to the fullest. The beds are just incredibly comfortable and when you open the windows you have this nice breeze coming from the sea (there is an AC but we never turned it on). The family who works there was so welcoming and made our stay very special. In other reviews people mentioned the location as disadvantage but as you need a motorbike to move on the island anyways in our opinion the location is a big bonus because it’s just a bit outside the main villages and quite. We ended up staying for 6 days even though we had just planned on two nights - and we would definitely come back.

Rooms were very clean and neat and an easy walk towards the forest or shops nearby!
