Yakushima Cottage Morino Fairy offers all-wooden private cottages with a balcony, a kitchenette and sea views. The property has a garden, free Wi-Fi and free parking. It’s a 10-minute drive from the centre of Anbo. All rooms feature an open-air bath. We had a wonderful stay and it was the perfect base for us to explore the island. The owner was so helpful with advice about car rental before we arrived. The desserts made with local fruits were delicious and very appreciated after a day of hiking. Loved the private deck and bath. We would definitely stay here again if we come back for a visit!

The lodge offers 3-star accommodation with a hot tub. The food was sublime! Seriously. Everything tasted amazing. The cabins themselves are very high quality. They did not cut corners. Everything you need is in the kitchen and the washing machine worked great too. The private bath with large window was a centerpiece and a soak in the tub was transformative!!

Situated 10 km from Shiratani Unsuikyo, Cottage Yakusugi features Yakusugi Japanese cedar in its architecture and decor, including its walls, ceiling, pillars and furniture. The property staff offers tours of Shiratani Unsuikyou, Yakusugi Land and Yakushima upon request. Guests will have the entire cottage to themselves during their stay. Free parking is available for guests. The house is big and clean. The kitchen is equipped with everything: microns, stove, crockery. The owner came to pick us up and take us to the airport. It is a bit far from the center (25 minutes on foot). Recommended

Yakusugi Land is 17 km from the lodge, while Shiratani Unsuikyo is 28 km away. The nearest airport is Yakushima Airport, 7 km from Cottage Kutsuroki. Very good option as Cottage Kutsuroki are standalone bungalows so no noise issues at all. Extra convenience of car parked right at door, easy to load suitcases etc. Very good well stocked kitchen and finally, after days of thin futon beds, nice to have “normal” mattress beds to sleep on! Good heating. Nice shower and bath adequate. Very good location at Anbo
