Mahébourg
With mountain views, Ferney Nature Lodge is set in Mahébourg and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. We would highly recommend this place as part of your next Mauritius visit. The most peaceful place to stay. Loved every single little detail of the interior design of this place. Our room was clean and looked incredible. The staff was extremely helpful and kind to us. We also had an incredible 4x4 trip. We would also recommend to try the massage- the lady was the sweetest and this was definitely one of the best massages I have ever had- plus with an amazing view. We also enjoyed the dinner- real local food and amazing service. We are planning to visit again but to others- try to stay at least 2-3 nights.
Baie du Cap
Set 12 km from Paradis Golf Club, El-Sangha Studio 2mina pieds de la plage de baie du cap offers accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a shared kitchen for your convenience. Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. The room and building are modern, especially for Mauritius standards. The location is nice and quiet and I felt safe at all times. Highlight of the stay are the hosts! They are so welcoming and making sure that you have a lovely stay. I can definitely recommend this accommodation.
LʼUnion
With garden views, Auberge de Saint Aubin is set in LʼUnion and has a restaurant, room service, snack bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. I felt as if I was the most important person there. It stroked my fragile ego. 😀 The food was good to very good. Personal chef and waiter. The cost also included breakfast and accesscto the site attractions. I stayed for lunch at the on-site restaurant (colonial building opposite). This is a must. I had only planned one night here but next time I am in Mauritius, I will stay longer. Well done, staff.
Bois Chéri
Set up on a historic tea plantation in Bois-Cheri, Bubble Lodge offers unique accommodation under the stars. Surrounded by nature it also boasts views of the adjacent lake.
The transparent bubble-styled rooms ensure maximum viewing pleasure. Combining earthy tones and natural fabrics, each is equipped with a bed and private bathroom and an outdoor open sky shower. A sofa bed is available, suitable for up to 2 children aged 14 years and under.
This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and it was worth every penny. It’s not just a place to stay, it’s a whole package of activities and meals. When I arrived, I was a bit too early for check-in, so I was invited to do a tea tasting on a beautiful balcony overlooking the lake. While I sampled 8 different types of tea, I watched a family of wild boars trot past, and I couldn’t help but laugh when a monkey stole a box of tea from a neighboring table. When I was invited to my bubble lodge, I was blown away by the details - flower petals on the bed, stunning views of nature. It would be perfect for a honeymoon, but I also enjoyed it as a solo traveler.
I spent my afternoon watching the animals from my bubble - monkeys, wild boars, a black swan. I also took a long walk around the lake. The dinner (included in the room reservation) was exquisite. Three delicious courses and plenty of vegetarian options. I also really liked the tea bread served with tea chutney. During my dinner, I watched Java deer just outside of the panoramic windows. After dinner, I had a beautiful nighttime walk back to my bubble, and I laid in bed watching the stars and listening to animals rustling in the trees.
When I awoke in the morning, I found that a pair of Java deer were looking into my bubble, and the black swan was also right outside. I took a rain shower outdoors with a bit of actual rain mixed in. I had a delicious breakfast that consisted of crepes, an omelet, yogurt, juice, tea, and more of my favorite tea bread. Next I borrowed a bicycle from the lodge and rode it to the tea museum, where I learned all about tea, and then I took a guided tour of the Bois Cheri tea factory. At the end, I had yet another tea tasting, and then it was time to check out of my hotel.
All-in-all, I had a perfect stay and I really hope that I will have an opportunity to come back someday. I want to give a special shout-out to Tina, who took really good care of me in the restaurant.

Ferney Natural Lodge was the most beautiful place we stayed on the island. The staff were kind, helped us to sort our broken rental car and looked after us well during our stay. The Lodge is situated in a tranquil location with breathtaking views of the hills. There is lots of beautiful hiking trails to explore and beautiful swimming to relax after. The dinner was delicious, probably the best food we had in Mauritius. We will 100% stay here again.
Unique place, we felt very connected to nature, peaceful and quiet place, mesmerising landscape of the valley from the lodge.
Vanilla lodge was fantastic for a family with two kids. Very clean and view of lodge was superb. The staff were very freindly. It's like camping but in high level. We enjoyed a unique night at vanilla lodge.
Everything. The location was great and although we had a lot of rain, the view was beautiful and there are so many birds around. The lodge itself is decorated nicely and the bed is comfy. The utensils and cooking facilities are ample. The breakfast is simple but enough (per person: 2 eggs, 3 slices of bread, jam, butter, cornflakes, yogurt, milk and fruit juice). Thank you, I highly recommend it.
The location and the setting of the lodge is beautiful inside and the outdoor too. Close to nature without any disturbence watching the deer and other animals from our lodge. We stayed in the eco lodge ,the temperature was good due to the airco in the room .Liked the outdoor shower too (it's a nature lodge ;).
The Bubble Lodge really did feel like an exclusive experience in nature. You have to experience it to truly appreciate it and you will NOT be disappointed! The 3 course dinners were sublime.
a beautiful lodge isolated in the middle of a nature reserve, accompanied by friendly staff and great facilities.
The accommodation was really very large, beautifully and comfortably furnished and absolutely clean. From the lodge you can walk in some minutes to the beautiful beach and also have a good starting point for excursions to the Black River Gorges National Park. And in addition, I have never had such a nice host in any other accommodation in Mauritius as in the Aurelia Lodge. Jacqueline, the hostess, spoiled me with excellent food and was a very friendly and attentive host in every way. I can highly recommend the Aurelia Lodge.
