I arrived on the Titicaca train in the early evening, and a driver had been organized to drive me to the local port, where I was escorted by Juan, an exceptional host in every sense of the word, to the island which he and his father had built. During my stay there, Juan invited me on mini tours around some of the islands, where I learned more about Uros culture and history. The Peruvian meals prepared by his wife Amalia were exceptional- always on time, delicious, substantial and inviting. I was never hungry. Juan ensured that my stay at Amalia was truly exceptional and something which I'll never forget- watching the starry nights from a comfortable and warm bed, enjoying the sounds of silence of the lake, being mesmerized by the sunsets, and learning more about the natural beauty and wildlife of the area. This was truly an amazing experience!

The property is 7 km from the city centre, and right in front of Titicaca lake. the beautiful view and decor. eddy and his family are very nice; hot water ; and there is a heater in the room. dont really feel cold at all as they also prepare thick blankets on the bed~ the food is very good and you can enjoy some free ans quiet time on the island.

It was a very unique experience and so nice to stay and support the local community. The place felt almost magical. We would recommend everybody. The family took us with the boat to other islands and showed their culture and history. We do not speak Spanish, but the level of English was amazing, and we learned a lot about the local people. The food was nice. We had fresh fish caught by the family for lunch, chicken for dinner and a good breakfast as well. It was a bit cold in the evening, but we had heater in the night. Just remember warm clothing for the evenings and you’ll be fine

The host is nice and the property is nice too. It is just a 5-star hotel on a floating island. It has private bathroom right in your room and the hot water runs 24 hours. The island is cold at night, but the blanket on the bed is more than enough. The host offers a tour to visit nearby floating islands. The tour is comprehensive (2hours) and at a very very reasonable price. The view from the room is fantastic, and it is located on the far end of the island chain so not crowded.

Wilburt and Delia will endulge you in local cultural aspects of their life and will show you the Urus island way of living. Absolut must recommendation. We loved our stay and would come back any time. The bed is amazing, you will never sleep cosier than in this hotel.

I think it was the most beautiful place I've ever stayed in! There are 3 houses on a floating island, owned by a father and a son. They are extremely nice people! The price is ridiculously small for what they offer. The view from the huge windows of the house is amazing, and so is the stay on the floating terrace.
