What didn’t I like???? The room itself was bright, airy and decorated in an upmarket, contemporary style. The view across the seafront was so pretty and a joy to wake up to. The shower was unreal! Never known water pressure like it in Greece. The bed, my goodness, so soft and at the same time, so supportive! The room was tremendous value for money. Oh, and the location could not have been more central, directly in the middle of the old town and it’s charming labyrinth of winding streets leading to the stunning Venetian harbour front. The staff were all so welcoming and helpful, they really made me feel like they wanted me there.

Kitchen with everything you need to cook, eat and clean, washing machine, hair dryer, iron, towels, shampoo, Nespresso machine and pods, closet and safe. Everything was extremely stylish and clean. A wonderful sea view, especially from the rooftop in the hot tub! Nice options for breakfast served in the downstairs restaurant. Very comfortable bed and the room was surprisingly quiet even with the restaurants below. Our host met us and carried our luggage up all of the stairs. Very friendly and helpful with all of our needs.

I have spent 3 wonderful weeks in Calmare apartment. It’s perfect place for people who love wandering throughout a long beach, sunbathing, swimming and appreciate peace and quiet. 10-15 minutes’ walk you reach the most beautiful city in Crete, Rethymno with excellent restaurants, shops, disco clubs, beautiful Old Town narrow streets and many more. Calmare apartment hotel is the best for people who want to be treated like in the great hotel but at the same time have privacy like in own home. You get everything to prepare your own meal or just few steps away you can choose delicious meal in one of many local restaurants. You can choose everyday different beach services. The nearest with comfy sunbeds and umbrellas is just 2 minutes’ walk, so if you forget something from your apartment or just want to get a rest from sun is really nice. Our best beach service with nice cocktails and snacks is Atlantis. Apartments are new, clean and looks like you can see in the photos. The owner of apart. Hotel, Mary is very nice and helpful. She is perfect combination of the best manager and concierge. Mary does everything to make your stay as you wish it be. It’s our third stay in Crete. We explored west, Chania and Heraklion area, but noting compare with Rthymno and kindness of locals there.

The room/flat was beautiful, well decorated, very comfortable. Absolutely nothing bad to say. Kitchen 10/10 bed 10/10 bathroom 10/10 terrasse 10/10. It’s worth noting that the accommodation building is not in the city center. It is walking distance so we found it perfect: you get a sense of the local life but also are walking distance to everything you need.
