We had a room in the barrel and it was a great experience. The room had a direct view to the pool and winery, with a nice terece just outside the room. In the morning we could relex on the sunbeds on the terrace and listen fado music in background. The entire area was beautiful and the personal friendly offered a wine tasting and a tour.

We were upgraded to a suite with a beautiful view over the city and one of the main attractions "Santuário de Nossa Senhora dos Remédios" The location: Nearby everything! very central. A side note: The swiming pool is not big nor deep. For us it didn't matter because we were not looking for it and was perfect for our 6yrs old.
