Penicuik
Situated in Penicuik, The Craigie Hotel has a restaurant, bar, garden, and free WiFi throughout the property. Boasting room service, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. An absolute joy to stay at the Craigie Hotel. From check in over the facilities of the bedroom, bathroom, its cleanliness, the enjoyable bar, the food in their restaurant, culinary surprises at breakfast... All personnel working for this hotel, along with the boss, seem to be trained to drown all customers into a warm bath of being completely spoiled. What surprised us even more was that post check-out, when we were on the way home, we were called by the hotel to let us know that our daughter forgot her teddy in the bed. It would have been an absolute disaster only discovering this when we would have been at home. This proves that even post check-out (and after all was paid for), we had the feeling of being taken care of. Just wonderful.

Fantastic location. Hotel itself was superb. Really personal, beautifully furnished and decorated throughout. Just oozes quality the moment you walk into the small courtyard. Staff all really attentive and super friendly. Hospitality at its best. Something that large chains even 5 star high end chains rarely achieve.
What an outstanding hotel. The staff were amazing, so friendly and welcoming. The room was fabulous. Very roomy with everything we needed. Comfy bed, blackout curtains, tea & coffee, free toiletries but to mention a few. The breakfast was all outstanding. My only disappointment was we couldn’t stay longer! But we will definitely be going back again, and take full advantage of the spa next time too. Location was also superb, literally minutes from the Royal Mile.
Interior decor was outstanding, original art on the walls antiques around the public areas, very exclusive feel to premises. All staff were very friendly, polite and obliging super ambassadors for hotel.
Everything was excellent. Staff food room location and comfort. 5 stars.
max and Alicia were outstanding all 5 stars for them
The Breakfast was amazing. The chef and the team did an outstanding job with the hot breakfast. The service was superb and they were flexible to add/change get more which seldom happens in other places.
Everything. The whole experience was superb. The hosts were amazing. The facilities were fantastic. The exclusive shower and toilet was of an exceptional standard. Tent and furnishings were amazing. Our 9 year old granddaughter had the time of her life. Located on a working farm and livery stable, meant she got to see lambs and horses up close. Luxury camping at its finest.
Fabulous hosts. Guest house absolutely beautiful, warm, cosy, clean, comfortable, more like a high star hotel rather than a typical guest house. Breakfast was amazing, accommodated to my dietary and health needs. Ian and David, so helpful, nothing to much trouble. Would happily stay again. My granddaughter would have liked more watchable TV channels but certainly not an issue. Sheets and Towels brilliant white. Easy to access by bus, tram or taxi. Thanks for a superb memorable stay. 5 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The service by staff was a such high standard and my accommodation was a dream. Luxury, the views unbeatable and if I could have give 15 stars that would not be enough.
From the moment we arrived to when we left we were made to feel welcome and special. Lunch in the brassiere on day one was outstanding, our meal in Number One was incredible (worthy of Michelin) and our finale afternoon tea in Palm court superb. With the addition of acknowledging our special anniversary, all of this made for an experience we will never forget. We will return to the Balmoral not only when visiting Edinburgh but will look out for RF hotels on our future travels. Thank you to all at the hotel!
