Looking for a motel?

Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.

I chose the motel for the location - I needed to be close to Blue Hills Rise in Cranbourne East. There was car parking immediately outside the room. The room has a stove top and some cook ware and plates.

It was a great convenient motel with bistro and cafe at the same place, only a very short walk from accommodation. Which made it very handy for our family not needing to travel far to get food or take away. Breakfast is included which was great. Rooms get described as dated but I wouldn’t say that’s the case. The rooms and accommodation is themed to look old country style with decor. Which in some ways is nice change to modern. But bathroom and bedding is modern and fresh.

The restaurant that was attached to the motel provided very good food, and the proximity of the motel to our family was a plus. The only other good thing that I can say was that, at least, the room was quiet.

Everything. The highly professional and friendly lady at Reception could not have been more helpful to us and the two Housekeeping ladies were also very helpful and friendly. We do not think we have ever stayed in such a clean property. Having a guest laundry was also much appreciated as we have been on the road for a while.

Nobody at reception, I called the number given to be told “room 4 is open with the key on the table”…room 4 was locked and there was an ash tray full of cigarette butts outside the door. Kids and people were coming and going and the place looked more like a low rent appartment block than a motel. I’m doubtful of the legitimacy of this business and feel like I was ripped off. I didn’t even stay I just left and rebooked at another hotel nearby. Very poor in every way and needs investigation into its legitimacy as a hotel. Don’t recommend.
