We booked it a s a motel with a cheaper price. For us, it was a perfect deal. From the outside it looked like a motel, but the room was completely new and had hotel quality. I assume that is the reason why it is upgraded from motel to hotel, now. Also, the support from the reception was great. The location is also perfect, close to the highway but still calm and also not far from the park.

For those who do not like to drive from Edmonton to Vancouver in one day, this is an excellent place to stay. It is a little more than halfway to Vancouver. The motel is on a lake with its own private beach. There is a nice view of the lake from every room. The water is warm in July-August and the swimming is pleasant if you don't mind some weeds. The lily pads are beautiful.

This report refers to the older standalone Motel part, not the one at Waterfront. Great place steps away from the lake. Very simple property but clean and well looked after. Beds were comfy and that's most important! Competitive advantage was the gas grill so one can make some BBQ.
