The location couldn't be better, it is literally across the street from the airport. Bus stops are very plentiful nearby and the hotel staff is very well versed in showing you exactly which buses you need to get to your destination on the island. They are able to call taxis for you if necessary as well. All around wonderful location and very helpful staff!

The room is small, but very comfortable and everything is very clean. The staff is amazing, always there to help you with recommendations. The cleaning staff also left a cute note in our room. Having access to the onsen and great food was perfect after a day of hiking and exploring. The clear winner for our stay was the food and onsen. The lady that runs it is the sweetest and kindest person I have ever met. The location is absolutely perfect for exploring Yakushima and the Jomonsugi hike. The rooms are comfortable and clean as those of any ryokan, and there are large onsen style baths free to use. You absolutely MUST stay here if you plan on staying anywhere on the island. Their futon were very comfortable. Onsen is clean and sauna available too as well as a cold pool. Outdoor onsen had 2 pools to choose from.
