A great, beautiful remote location in the middle of Welsh hills. The property is very well looked after and maintained to a high standard - at the same time, gives you a cozy and homey feeling. The hosts were prompt and responsive, very helpful. Fair/good value for money. An all-out great experience for a family (or two), highly recommended.

Our host Ian, was very obliging. We arrived to gifts of wine, beer, bread, Welsh butter and cheese, jam and snacks. A lovely surprise. Betws-y-Coed is a spectacular little village, close to Snowdonia National Park. The apartment was tastefully furnished and very comfortable. It had everything we needed for our week's stay.

We spent 3 nights at the cottage. The location of the cottage was perfect, just on the edge of Betws y Coed . Please note that the bridge which provides a short cut across the river, is currently closed but you can still walk to town in around 15 mins. Take a torch with you The cottage is very quaint and comfortable-set in beautiful grounds. It was nice to relax in the evenings or have a drink in the garden after walking all day. We didn't use the log fire as we were lucky with the weather but we appreciated having Netflix on the TV whilst resting our legs in the evenings. It was a perfect base for discovering North Wales. From here we were able to visit: Beddgelert, Porthmadog, Portmeirion, Harlech, Barmouth, Anglesey, Caernafon and Snowdon. The longest drive was Anglesey -45 mins. Most places were a 20-30 mins drive. All of these places I would recommend. Beautiful scenery and loved the Castles. As we had climbed Snowdon on a previous visit, we decided to walk the Watkin Path. If you walk for about 50 mins, you will pass the most beautiful waterfalls. Take a walk down to them and see the pools. A fantastic place to have a cold water dips and the colour of the water just has to be seen! Whilst in Betws y coed - Take a walk along the river, visit the Swallow falls and stop and have a scone and a cuppa at the Ugly house. Legend says that anyone able to build a dwelling in just one day, complete with four walls and a chimney smoking by dawn, could claim it as his own. Its very charming! There are 3 pubs/restaurants near the cottage but I would recommend booking before you go if you can, as some were fully booked when we tried. We did have a meal one night in the Waterloo Hotel- just across the bridge and passed the Shell Garage. Food was delicious and they didn't rush you with your meals. We also ordered an Indian Take away from Ty Asha Balti House, Llanwrst. It was delicious & only 5 minute drive away.

The breakfast was delicious. Had the Welsh breakfast which consisted of the usual bacon, sausage, fried egg, black pudding hash broen and beans. The following morning was a continental for me. The service for the restaurant was great and friendly staff. Service with a smile. The king deluxe room was in a great location of the hotel. We had a great view of the Conwy River. The walk along the river was amazing and the town of Betws-y-coed are great lovers of dogs. It's a pet friendly environment which I also loved.

The waterloo is in a perfect location in a perfect place. The staff offer a very warm welcome and that continued throughout our stay. On this stay we brought our dog skye and they made a huge fuss of her. They provide dog beds for them to use in the dog friendly area while we ate breakfast and our evening meal. Excellent service.

Absolutely stunning cottage, a proper home from home. Extremely well furnished, very clean and really good quality finishings. Location was great, so close to Betws-y-coed and an excellent base to explore the area. Very pet friendly, we were allowed to use a secure field on the premises to exercise our dog (which also has the benefit of fab views from the top of the hill). Eirian is a really friendly and accommodating host. Loved our stay!

Location and surroundings ideal, central for reaching Llandudno, Chester etc. Hotel spotless, staff friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Very pet friendly, even the dog was given breakfast which we were very impressed with 👍 We had two rooms close together which is what we asked for, they were spotless, beds were comfortable and slept really well. The food was great so would recommend having all meals here. We will definitely be booking again, would highly recommend this hotel and so would Harry the dog 🐶
