My stay here for 1 night was magical. The lady (whose name I can't remember!) met me off the bus and showed me the accomodation. She had made some delicious food and heated it up for me! The accomodation is so cosy and has the most amazing view and cats to welcome you home. 5min walk away from central Jiufen. Can't recommend more.

Shabby house provided a very unique stay experience, as the house is quite literally built into the mountainside that Jiufen sits on. Our host (謝淑菁/Jane) was extremely kind and helpful in terms of planning our short stay in Jiufen. She gave excellent recommendations for dining and things to do, and gave us detailed instructions on how to get there with a very easy to read map of Jiufen. The house offered spectacular views of the ocean, Jiufen Qingyun temple, and of Jiufen itself. The location was perfect in that it was close enough to Jiufen old street to walk, but was far enough away that our stay was peaceful and quiet. Thanks again for hosting us, and hope to stay with you again in the future!

Without hesitation, the owner promptly arranged for a taxi to ensure our safe arrival. I am immensely grateful for the exceptional hospitality shown to us during our stay. It's evident that the owner's dedication to guest satisfaction shines through in every aspect of this establishment. The location is very convenient, just a few meters away from bus stops and Jiufen Old Street. It has a great view and just very accessible. The owner is very friendly, speaks English well enough to assist you with anything you need. She's very accommodating and amicable - should you need anything, just ask. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable. The room we stayed in didn't have its own bathroom but there are 2 toilets and baths in the entire apartment so not much of a problem. The common areas are spacious and comfortable, should you decide to use these areas. There's a small fridge and some tea and coffee provided. Toiletries including a disposable towel are also provided. (Owner Kate is so friendly she even threw in FREE soy milk during our stay). Directions are provided before our stay. Check in and check out times could be slightly afjusted, just communicate with Kate. Slippers are provided, there's shoe storage so no shoes inside the room.

amazing views, nice facilities, really responsive and helpful host. We got lots of lots of great tips from the host on good restaurants in the area, and different activities to do in the area. The house was a 20 minute walk from jiufen old street, with the possibility of taking a bus there as well. It was a quiet oasis. The photos are not the most updated photos! the walls have been repainted and the unit is extremely clean and tidy :) The host had filled up the entire fridge with an assortment of breakfast items for our stay as well.
