The access code was provided. But the lock box code was not. Consequently we tried to lock the door by flipping the latch on the inside and closed the door. Then we were locked out for sure. We went to the guard at the gate. He called someone at booking. And we talked with him. He gave us the lock box code and talked us through the procedure to get the key to open the door! We learned a lot. We don't have lock boxes where we live in Alaska, nor electronic door code locks.

The bathroom was also excellent, with a rainwater shower and piping-hot water. Air-con worked fine; wifi reception was weak in the room itself, but strong just outside on the balcony. Roberto is a great host with an artistic and musical background; it's often his home recordings that will serenade you while you dig into your breakfast (included), featuring some of the most succulent fruit on the planet.

The hotel is slightly off the main road, and right on the beach. The pool is big and clean and the staff very helpful. Long chairs and umbrellas are available to spend quality time on the sand. Communication was a bit difficult due to the language barrier but everyone made efforts. we would go back and stay there in a heartbeat.
