We spent two wonderful weeks at Kijani with our young children. Everything was perfect: beautiful design and views, a « desert island » feel on the beach, a stunning swimming pool with a very nice shallow area for kids. There is plenty of space so even if the hotel was fully booked it was always quiet and pleasant. The lovely staff made us feel at home. We 100% recommend it (it’s even more beautiful than on the pictures) and we will be back one day for sure!

Airport transport: I got picked up from the airport. The driver was on time, and helped carry all my luggages. Despite arriving late after time for check-in, they were flexible. They made sure that I had every essentials for that night then could check-in in the next morning. The driver also picked me up on time for the return. Location & activities: The hotel is 1hr away from the airport, and located in a tourist/local area so u get the best of both worlds. It is safe, quiet, right by the beach and have a nice restaurant. If you want to explore more of the area, there is possibility to walk by the beach where you can find other restaurants, bars or nightclubs if you wish for that. I went to see how they make seaweed soaps which the hotel arranged, and bought a couple of soaps. The hotel also offers activity trips(which u pay extra for) to different tourist attractions in Zanzibar, I liked the fact that this can be organised throught the hotel and you get all the informations ther before the trip. Room + bathroom: The room and the bathroom are spacious and clean, with access to hot water in the shower and AC in the room. The housekeepers are so kind, they clean the rooms everyday, and come every evening to spray mosquito spray to put out mosquitos. I haven't experienced any mosquitos while staying ther. Food & drinks : They have a delicious breakfast buffet, with different variety every day. The hotel offers clean drinking water free of charge at any time. As a person who gets quickly dehydrated during the heat, I found this to be a very wonderfull thing. They have a variety of delicious diner dishes from Italy, asian and some tanzanian/swahili. The only thing I could wish for is that it could be more of the local dishes(Tanzanian/swahili dishes), also on the dessert part. They make delicious drinks, their cocktails are really good. Service: All hotel staff were extremly kind and service minded.

We liked the cleanliness and layout of this large and well appointed villa. It was comfortable for two couples. There is plenty of room both inside and outside to relax and spread out. The host Rodrigo was responsive and friendly and willing to accommodate our late checkout request. The pool was refreshing and the breakfasts were excellent. You can walk the beach for miles. The villa was private and easy walking distance to restaurants. Good references for taxis and tours. There is a nearby small store to change money.

Upon arrival it looks very nice just like the photos, although a small space, very stylish with an unbeatable view. The sound of the waves crashing during high tide is amazing, the bed, shower pressure, and wifi were all high quality as well. This part of the island is so desolate you feel like you are on a deserted island. The cleaning woman was also very good and funny.

Swimming pool is nice, and swimming in the ocean is pleasant at high tide. No fridge or coffee/tea in the room but we didnt miss those. There is mobile AC but the weather is fantastic and the beach front is windy so you won't need AC. The staff is super friendly and the entire atmosphere is just very relaxing.
