Hotel zum Heiligen Geist is located in the centre of Mariazell, just 30 metres from the Bürgeralpe Cable Car and 500 metres from the Basilica. Free WiFi is available. Everything was great. Room was much bigger than we expected, exceptionally clean, hotel perfectly located - on the main street, few minutes from sops and restaurants. Owner is very pleasant, she gave us many useful tips. Breakfast was carefully selected, tasty and plentiful. All in all, hotel highly recommended.

The moment you step foot in the cozy 'lobby', you are made to feel right at home. It feels more like visiting a distant relative, than checking into a hotel. We arrived after regular check-in time, and still we were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine and chatted for half an hour - what a difference to what you are used to. This approach directly set the tone for the rest of the stay, and I have not come across a better combination of privacy and luxury, and such a personal touch. During the whole stay, the hosts were super helpful, friendly and could not have made us feel more welcome. The rooms are nicely decorated, beds very comfortable, the view is phenomenal and the breakfast is extensive. It was a lovely experience having it served in the room, with a view over Mariazell and the valley. We had some special requests, and they were more than fulfilled, making this a truly memorable weekend. From the hotel, you get to the center of Mariazell within minutes on foot, but getting to the hotel by car is equally easy, making it a great starting point for excursions into the region.

Located in Mitterbach, 38 km from Hochschwab, Gasthof zum Sessellift provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The rooms were very clean, the furnitures, bathroom, windows, everything was high quality material. The rooms were very quiet, the beds are comfortable. The staff was very kind and flexible when we wanted to change the room, so that our rooms with the kids will be close to each other. The dinner was also delicious.

Just 500 metres from the Bürgeralpe Ski Area, JUFA Hotel Erlaufsee is next to a sports centre 2 km from the centre of Mariazell. A spa area is available. Good breakfast, friendly reception.

JUFA Hotel Mariazell is located 3 km from Mariazell and offers a large indoor pool, bowling alleys, a toboggan run, and a large garden with a terrace. A breakfast buffet and free parking are... I like the location in quite part of the village. Great family hotel very kind people, great breakfast.

Family-run for 5 generations, Hotel Drei Hasen is located in the centre of Mariazell, only 100 metres away from the world-famous Basilica and 50 metres away from the cable car. I liked everything! The rooms were very clean and nice. The spa was excellent too! Very friendly environment and I will definitely come back. I suggest to everyone to come and stay there :)
