It's a mini hidden paradise gem... Literally! The staff was great and so kind. The food was delicious and all farm fresh! The location was stunning with unique rooms, a pond, incredible gardens, and a very beautiful and massive gem collection. You can tell the owner/caretaker of the property really puts in efforts all around to make it a paradise hidden amongst a city.

A traditional hotel at the foot of the Rax Mountain, the Knappenhof offers a wellness area with sauna and steam bath, and a restaurant with a large terrace serving regional and seasonal dishes. Location at the foot of the Rax was stunning. Sauna and steam room a treat. Meals were excellent. Coffee at breakfast was really good. What I am most grateful for was staff friendliness and support when I had to figure out logistics of leaving the country early due to a sudden lockdown.

The location was perfect, just in the middle of the town. Nearby train station to Wien or other cities. Hotel was very nice and clean. Breakfast and morning staff was excellent. Wifi was available all areas. If we go to Wiener Neustadt, we will definitely choose Hotel Steinfeld.
