Situated in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, 600 metres from Museum Aschenbrenner, Werdenfelserei features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. We had the Family Room which was large and had everything we needed. Clean and beautifully appointed. The pool area and spa were fabulous! The garden terrace peaceful. The view from the terrace to Zugspitze was breathtaking.... especially on our first morning at 06.30am when the sky was cloudless! Breakfast was the most extensive I've ever had and we ate in the restaurant 2 evenings and highly recommend the meals. All in all a fabulously relaxing stay.

Landhotel zum bad is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The place is modest and quaint. Very clean. Each room has a specific name. Don’t worry about having a bad balcony view. Every room with a balcony has an awesome view. Every staff member greets with a smile and is committed to making you feel welcome. I had to check in late, and the staff put my key in a lockbox outside, gave me the code. When I got there, they also left a nice letter taped to the front doors with my name on it. It was an invitation to the morning breakfast buffet (which is included with every room by the way) to start the “wonderful day”. Overwhelmingly positive vibes all around. Everything about breakfast was great. Their breakfast area was panoramic as they claim. The Coffee was fantastic. The hotel is also a mile hike from Barmsee and 2 miles hike to geroldsee. If you’re a fan of hiking and/or sunrises over scenic lakes, I suggest this place (but watch out for mosquitos when hiking! Bring bug spray. I went in july and they were bad at dawn and dusk) The price is very reasonable for such a great hotel. Sad I couldn’t stay there another day or I would have.

This family-run hotel close to Garmisch-Partenkirchen invites you to enjoy a hiking or skiing vacation in the alps. We stayed in the family run Hotel Garni Zugspitz for a week and I can sincerely say that is one of the few occasions where the hotel was better than expected (or advertised on booking.com). The hosts have great personalities, very warm and welcoming attitude towards their guests, the rooms are crystal clean (better even then some 5 star hotels I've stayed in before), and the location is great. We had to leave the hotel one night earlier than booked, and even though we knew the non-refund conditions of the booking, the hosts offered voluntarily not to charge for the other services we used during our stay. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for everyone looking to explore the Zugspitze and even Tirolean area. If you enjoy hiking or climbing make sure to ask the hosts for tips. They won't disappoint.

The hotel had every accommodation needed to have relaxing stay. I loved the pool and the ability to lounge outside enjoying the view of the mountain. I also enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen. The beds were also very comfortable.

Absolutely beautiful grounds, decorated so pretty for Christmas. The outdoor fire pits at night were so welcoming. The one bedroom apartments were so spacious and comfortable. The underground tunnels to the different buildings were also helpful to stay out of the cold when walking to breakfast.

Great option for a family with children. Spacious room with 4 sleeping places. 2 of them are folded almost invisibly into furniture. Very warm and welcoming atmosphere. At the check in the reception Rita gave us all necessary recommendations on where to go, where to eat, what to try, where to take the children etc. It was extremely helpful. The hotel exceeded our expectations! The room was very clean and cozy. The location of the hotel could not be better, just a 5-minute walk to the train station and to a supermarket (Lidl). In case you miss the train, there is a stop for the ski bus quite close, right across the train station. The facilities at the hotel were also great, including sauna and gym area. We were pretty much alone in the mentioned facilities, so we really enjoyed our time there! The covid rules were followed strictly, which made us feel safer during our stay. Lastly, the breakfast was delicious and included a variety of foods, such as yogurt, fruits, cereals, toast, bread buns, pancakes, eggs, bacon, ham, cheese... and of course coffee, tea and hot chocolate! Also, I must mention the great staff at the hotel. They helped us to store our luggage the morning we arrived before check-in as well as after checking out the next day. The hotel also has a great ski storage room with boot warmers which we really appreciated!

Excellent room, with a fantastic view. The sauna and gym / workout room were nice to have - manage expectations though, they are not a full gym and sauna, but they are a great unexpected addition. Breakfast is great, and dinner, if you choose to eat here, is extremely good. The process of hiring a bike is easy and cheap for the day, if you have a few hours to spare. The selection of off-road and around-town bikes is good. You will not find racing bikes here, however.
