Attractively situated in the Kallio district of Helsinki, Citybox Helsinki is situated 1.4 km from Helsinki Cathedral, 1.6 km from Helsinki Central Station and 1.8 km from Helsinki Olympic Stadium. I have ordered a small room and was surprised - the room I got was a standard size (quite spacious) hotel room with all I needed. Downstairs is a nice kitchen + coffee machine, nice seating area. It was a good value for the money.

The area had a hip vibe. Loved the art on the building. A team of helpful and gorgeous concierges. A full sized equipped kitchen to cook meals for long term guests. But why eat in when you have Albina downstairs—a fabulous restaurant! Book your room with the breakfast which is incredible and served in Albina downstairs. Good quality linens, comfy beds. Doggie beds and treats which my picky dogs loved. Quiet.

Reachable within 10-minutes from Helsinki Airport via train or bus, this Clarion hotel features a sauna, fitness centre and a relaxing lounge. The location is great for those having early flights, rooms are big enough and clean, equipped with everything you need. Beds are comfortable, staff is very friendly and helpful. We opted for early breakfast and that is perfectly well organised with plenty of options. Public transport is very near (both bus and train). Hotel restaurant has nice offer and food is good.

Located in Espoo by the Baltic Sea, 10 minutes’ drive from Helsinki, this hotel features rooms with flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. Guests enjoy a free daily morning sauna and swim. Living in Espoo, I stayed here for a small weekend trip. The atmosphere was relaxing. It's in a walking distance from a metro station, but already tranquil enough. Perfect for those who want to take distance from urban noises. (Probably not so much if you are into city sightseeing.)

Housed in a converted prison from 1837, this atmospheric hotel is found on Katajanokka Island in central Helsinki. The hotel is charming - a tastefully converted prison! The room we had was perfect - everything worked! The hotel is perfectly situated for the Viking Line terminal and is right on the number 4 tram route which makes getting into the city centre very easy (although this is a very pleasant 15 minute walk if you don't want to use the tram). The breakfast offering is superb and the dinner menu is excellent with freshly cooked and well presented dishes. The staff are very welcoming and exceptionally helpful.

The Finnish Gentleman was quite nice and extremely helpful, as he upgraded me to a different hostel room with one other person rather than a crowded one. I really loved the bed he chose for me, allowing me to look to the snow-covered city outside.

Peaceful location in the countryside behind a winding road - still only 32 minutes drive from downtown Helsinki. The spa facilities were basic but comfortable - what's best, the spa was included in the fairly inexpensive room rate. The breakfast was good and served in the beatiful mansion building. There was plenty of free parking and also several free e-charging spots (16A slow charging only).

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel. We stayed 4 nights, and the room was nice and clean. The breakfast had a lot of options for all tastes. There were no noises. Nearby was the center of Helsinki (20 -25 min walk). In front of the hotel were two tram's stops for easy access to the center, the central train station, and the airport.
