I have ordered a small room and was surprised - the room I got was a standard size (quite spacious) hotel room with all I needed. Downstairs is a nice kitchen + coffee machine, nice seating area. It was a good value for the money.

We could walk to the city centre within 30 min or jump on one of the many trams that pass just in front of the hotel.

I loved absolutely everything about this hotel - the whole concept and the implementation of it, nature of the food and its presentation at breakfast table, the music in restaurant and in hotel room, the sauna in our room, and last but not least - friendly staff everywhere in the hotel.

Although not the most modern of buildings, the staff and facilities more than make up for it. Amazing spa with access straight into the Baltic Sea for a little bit of wild swimming. The staff were all really friendly and happy. They all went out of their way to make our stay really special and couldn’t have been more helpful with everything from the local bus times to hiring the e-bikes. We felt very well looked after.

There is a nice park and a great waterfall within a two-minute walk from the hotel. Location, location, location. Hotel Mathildedal is located really well and its location adds something to the atmosphere. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was really friendly. The room was as depicted on the pictures and was quiet.
