Very clean, comfortable bed, lovely room even though it was the attic room and supposedly "small". It was more than adequate! Breakfast was brilliant as many others have described. Our room theme was tastefully and authentically done and connected to personal memories of my time in Africa years ago. The room had all modern facilities and lovely views. The grounds and gardens were inviting and interesting. The link between travel and histories was seamless and provided additional interest. We enjoyed the bar and the restaurant on both nights. Hotel de Paris is an excellent choice to stay in Besancon, and what a great city Besancon is. The hotel is centrally located, the staff where welcoming and helpful, even allowing us to wheel our bikes through the hotel main entrance to the central courtyard. We choose the larger 25 sqm room and it was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice of food available. Bike storage was in a bike rack in the central courtyard and was fairly secure. On our Eurovelo 6 cycle trip, this was one of the best hotels we stayed in.

The hotel is located in a quiet location, across a bridge from the city center. It's on the Eurovelo 6 cycling path, which was very convenient for us. There was place for our bicycles, and a good quality breakfast. No tea and coffee maker in the room, but there was a coffee machine in the breakfast area one could use (for a fee).

Hotel Berti was easy to find because it was near the canal and Eurovelo 6. The attractive medieval city centre was within close walking distance. The staff were outstandingly friendly. I made used the in-house restaurant both nights. There was on-site indoor storage available for my bicycle.

Gorgeous and very charming property, big and comfortable room, very helpful and friendly staff (were so nice and shipped an item that I left behind). Also loved that they had extra activity for the kids - trail to find the little prince - which was a very nice way to explore the surroundings.

On our way through France by bicycle, we were glad to find an accommodation near Digoin. We stayed one night in the wooden caravan which was clean and well equipped. We liked the seating area just in front of the caravan and the cosy double bed in the alcove. There is a pool, though it got quite busy.
