We wanted a hotel close to Albert town centre and within the Somme battlefields. The Hotel was everything we needed. Situated on the deg of town and within 2 minutes of the battlefields and cemeteries, a walk into town can be taken in half an hour but Albert has plenty of free parking so after a day wandering the sights we chose to drive in. there is a large supermarket very close. Breakfast is a buffet style, and very nice. Dinner from a menu is also very good and well served with pleasant staff

Not only an excellent LOCATION from which to visit the Somme battlefield, Amiens itself was interesting- the hortillonage, the cathedral (fascinating tympanum), and some lovely restaurants. We spent 2 nights at the Priory which is wonderfully positioned, just steps from the cathedral, and with parking close by. The hotel, and our room, fully met our expectations. The staff were very helpful before and during our stay. We would happily return, and would recommend.

Great location - not far from the town centre and easy to get out and about on the roads so especially useful for visiting the Somme monuments, battlefields etc. Jose was very friendly and helpful - from a welcome pate and beer to a much needed fan when the weather was hot. perfect location in Villers Bretennoux and jumping off spot to the Somme area battlefields of WW1, without having to drive in from Amiens. before and after relaxing in the property gardens. Staying in VB allows one to soak in the setting and atmosphere of the battles of April 1918, and within walking distance of the exceptional Sir John Monash War Mémorial. A full breakfast and it’s the ideal B&B for this area in France.

The restaurant is the primary feature of this small hotel, it's excellent! High quality French cuisine at very reasonable prices. Booking is essential, it's popular with locals. My small single room was comfy with an amazing shower that aims water at you from every conceivable angle! Location is excellent just one road back from the beach and about 100m from a car park and an easy drive to Val sur Somme.

The location is so beautiful around the Bay of Somme, and there are lovely walks along the beaches for miles. A beautiful nature resort. Ideal also to walk with our dog, and the accommodation is pet friendly. It was just ideal for us as a couple with our family pet. Lovely apartment with nice kitchen/lounge. Also the people in the area were very friendly, and we could practice a little French speaking.

The hotel was very comfortable, and the staff were very welcoming. The quality of the room was excellent and the view across the Baie de Somme was wonderful. The breakfast was very good, well served in a comfortable room with delightful views. We love St Valery sur Somme and have stayed there before but never at the Chateau Romerel. In the future this hotel would be our first choice.

It is a good central location for bars, restaurants etc. The appartment was clean and well equipped with some thoughtful touches and basic provisions provided. We hired some bikes (www.velam.amiens.fr/) to cycle around the city and along the river (en.francevelotourisme.com/cycle-route/somme-valley-cycle-route) - they only cost 1 euro a day!

Everything. If we could be more complimentary we would be. We would single out the excellent decor, the terrace looking on the Somme and the 10 minute walk to the largest Cathedral in France. Quality Restaurants on the Quai are 5 minutes away. We liked being on the ground floor too.

The room was spacious for a family of four and we appreciated the separate room for the kids. You can’t fault the location in St Valery Sur Somme, well situated in the town with many sights within walking distance. It was a great location for a mini break

Private parking and terrace definite bonus. We were in Amiens to cycle on the Somme Valley Cycle Route and close proximity to the river was great too. The owner was very helpful before and during our stay and nice little touches in apartment for our stay.

Nice little family hotel. Perfect location opposite the Basilica and very interesting museum of the Somme. Nice friendly staff. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant. A nice area outside the hotel with a few bars and fountain overlooking the Basilica.

The breakfast here was excellent and the room comfortable with great facilities. The hotel is located a ten-minute drive from the centre of Amiens and proved good value for money for what we were doing in visiting the Somme Battlefields and memorials.

The Hotel is close to a car park if arriving by car and the train station. The town centre is 5 min walk away and 4mins to the river Somme. Staff were helpful pointing out the local attractions upon arrival, a good selection at breakfast.

Great location beside the Somme River. Spacious rooms, well equipped and very clean. Great place for a stop over if you are travelling through France from Calais. Very easy to find and close to shops in Abbeville.

Charming hotel at Baie de Somme, modern room and friendly staff. You can walk straight out of the hotel for a stroll alongside the water. We had dinner at the hotel as well, which was very good in a nice atmosphere.

This period property hotel was very well appointed and our room was very comfortable with a large bathroom. Well located within central part of St Valery sur Somme.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable and the owners were very welcoming. Abbeville is only a short drive away from the Baie de la Somme.
