Hotel in Resolis
Located on the Black Isle in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, Newhall Mains is a collection of cottages, set within a courtyard building dating from 18th century. We were a family of 6 and I can't stress enough just how beautiful the whole estate is. The lodge we were in has been tastefully and carefully restored perfectly. Thee living room is built around a log burner that felt extra cosy in the cold winter night! The beds were comfortable, everything was spotlessly clean and the kitchen was very well stocked with utensils, glasses, pots etc. I'd certainly recommend New Hall Main to anybody looking for a slice of luxury, in a gorgeous part of the world.

The room was very nicely decorated and furnished and the bathroom was modern with a good shower. We had a room at the back and it was nice and quiet. They don't do breakfast which we knew and which suited us having had a big breakfast every day at our previous hotel! We ate dinner in the restaurant which is lovely and the food was very good. The room price is about right for room-only and the location is good for exploring the Black Isle and Inverness.
Culbokie
Everything was perfect, we couldn't have asked for a more pleasant, comfortable stay. Heather was very welcoming and friendly, the apartment was exceptionally clean, furnished to a high standard, with so much thought gone into the finishing touches. Continental breakfast was perfect too! Thank you so much! Location was great for staying out of town in the Inverness area, just on the Black Isle, perfect for the NC500.
Brian and his wife (the owners of the Ord Arms) created a great atmosphere and Provided us with a great breakfast and as a real bonus to us Brian gave us a lift from the hotel to the Black Isle Showground which saved us a considerable walk and we also enjoyed the famous Black Isle Show, best regards, Norman Masson & Olive Scott.
Absolutely perfect. Loved it!
Very hospitable landlords, absolute quiecence, chaming interior, decent brealfast.
We loved staying at the Factor’s house. It is a lovely, cosy but spacious house with beautiful rooms. The attention was excellent and because it was convenient for us Fiona let us check in early. Needless to say it’s well maintained and very clean. Breakfast was also very nice. Of all the places we stayed last week this one is definitely in the top 2, probably even the best one. On our next trip to Scotland we’re definitely staying here again.
The reviews do not do this place justice. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and welcome. Breakfast is in a true Scotish tradition. The beds were amazingly comfortable, the best we had on our trip, the bathroom and showers were generously sized, and everything was clean. The host was very knowledgeable about the area. I highly recommend you stay here!
Very clean. Feels very homey, like your grandmother’s house. GREAT breakfast.
