Glencoe
We were staying in the Alpine bunkhouse, and it was one of our best stays of the trip! The communal area is cozy and welcoming and the kitchen has everything you need. The room and beds were very comfy as well. Every part of the building was spotless. Wifi worked like a charm. The walk to the hostel from the nearest bus stop takes about 30 minutes, but is quite pleasant because of the cute village of Glencoe and the beautiful scenery on the way. The location is also ideal for hiking, with many beautiful trails nearby.
The rental is actually a spacious apartment with a full kitchen. The amenities are exceptional and Mairi (host) has thought of absolutely every detail. The location is superb in being so close to Glencoe and Oban. There is hiking outside the location and a paved bike bath in the front along the water. The patio doors open to a beautiful of the water and it was a peaceful and quiet stay. Perfect location and perfect host!! This would also be a great place to go to do remote work. Has a space for work if needed.
We stayed at the Loch Leven hotel for our elopement and got a deluxe room based on the reviews, and we're really glad we did. The room was beautiful, clean, and looked great in all our getting ready photos. The bar was really cute and we enjoyed the views as well. It was a great jumping off location for everything else we wanted to do in Glencoe as well and are glad we stayed here and not Fort William.
The apartment felt like a home away from home. It is spacious, comfortable, at a great location for day trips or for just enjoying the views of the loch. Free parking, good wifi, plenty of personal touches that make you feel welcome, and lovely hosts. Comfy beds, shower, and a functional kitchen make this a place we'll definitely choose again when we return to the Glencoe area.
Ballachulish
Stunning location, and a beautifully furnished apartment with everything we needed for our stay. We had our dog with us and it was so lovely to walk around the beautiful gardens. We were so close to all the stunning sights in Glencoe, it was ideal. Highlight was listening to an owl as we went for an evening walk around the garden!
Ballachulish
Excellent location with easy access to a lochside footpath that used to be a railway - perfect for an evening stroll. The apartment was finished to a good standard with everything you need for a self catering stay. Great place to explore Glencoe and the surrounding area and the hosts were very friendly. Perfect.
The location near to Glencoe mountain resort is handy and the outlook over Loch Leven is very pleasant. The breakfast was tasty and had a good selection of hot and cold options. It’s great the hotel welcomes dogs and this was one of the reasons we chose it. The pool kept the young teens busy for a little while.
Glencoe
Very special place to come to. Gorgeous views, the hot tub is a real treat. Love how the property is near the hotel and facilities. Centrally located to see around Glencoe by car. Staff are exceptionally lovely. We had a very special family time here. Thankyou! Wonderful stay and will definitely be back
Kinlochleven
Lovely location set next to Glencoe with breathtaking views to wake up to. Hotel was spotless with lovely clean and comfortable beds, honesty bar in the hall with soft drinks and beers. Hosts were super friendly and excellent cooked breakfast. Great for local restaurants and shops within walking distance.
Glencoe
Breakfast was delicious and the staff (especially Nick) was great! Stella runs the hotel as if it was hers, professional and friendly, her husband made great drinks at the bar. Beds are comfortable and the accommodations are at the perfect location for wondering Glencoe. Highly recommend the hotel.
great location in Glencoe. a short drive to many restaurants and hikes. the staff was friendly and dinner and breakfast at the hotel was nice. the hotel was nice and quite and had a beautiful room view overlooking the water. wifi worked great. showers were nice, warm, and had good water pressure.
The location of this hotel was good, close enough (by car) to where we were going (Glencoe). The room itself was pleasant enough for our 1 night stay. We arrived late in the evening, and the receptionist was the barman, who was busy, but also accommodating and friendly.
This is an grand old hotel with lots of character and charm. It has been upgraded, with nice bathrooms and comfortable rooms. The restaurant was good and the lobby was lovely to pass a rainy evening. Good location for hiking in Glencoe. The staff was really nice.
Ballachulish
The apartment was so comfortable and just big enough for the two of us. it was also located very well for easy access to to hiking and Glencoe. Our host was able to help us immediately with the tv and the oven.
Ballachulish
Friendly service, old-school youth hostel character, good strategic location in Glencoe.
everything! - sensational stay!
The location - view from the sitting room and decking was breathtaking, our son loved the hot tub outside on the decking area. Even though we had a self catering lodge we also used the hotels restaurant several times which served excellent food with stunning views of the loch - prices are reasonable - staff were extremely friendly and approachable.
The property is full of charm and the cottages are enchanting, a truly amazing place to visit and stay the hospitality was amazing and very helpful staff , will definitely recommend to my friends
