Hotel in Portree
In 15 acres of private grounds, this hotel boasts spectacular views over Portree Bay to the Cuillin Mountain range. It has an award-winning restaurant and a range of whiskies on offer. Arrival and welcome was warm and friendly the receptionist insisted on helping carry the heavy suitcases up to the room, AND we were given a complementary upgrade to a bigger room. The room was fantastic with a perfect view over the harbour. Huge, comfortable bed and gigantic bathroom. There was a party until 2 am on our first night , just below our room, and we were worried it would keep us awake, but we heard absolutely nothing. We found a 3km (3 mile?) walking circuit around the coast and the hills leaving from the hotel, which we really enjoyed. Breakfast was excellent and every single one of the service staff were friendly helpful and professional

Skeabost
We loved our stay at Skeabostview Self-Catering. The apartment was the perfect size for a group of 3; there was a small kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms. It was in a great, peaceful location in Isle of Skye. We had access to the deck, which had a tranquil feel overlooking a small lake and fields. Hamish and his wife were so nice and welcoming. I wish we had more time, our short stay was lovely. Of note-If looking to eat in Portree, which is a short drive, make reservations ahead of time; very few places took walk-ins.
The accommodation was great and we would definitely recommend it to everyone! If we ever return to the Isle of Skye, this hotel will be our first choice. We expected the hotel will be beautiful and new but it managed to exceed our expectations! The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and large. The bathroom including the shower was great. They have our favorite brand of cosmetics. The breakfast was more than delicious. The staff is very kind, they helped us book a restaurant on new year's eve! The best hotel we ever visited!
This hotel is a must stay in isle of skye. It's history itself makes it worth the stay. This is not it though, it offers amazing food, the rooms are recently renovated and have latest facilities. There was a fireplace in the common room with old days equipments which made it really fun and romantic. The owner of the hotel was very friendly and told us about the history of the hotel and how Bonnie Prince Charlie stayed close to the hotel during the escape. The room was beautiful as well. It was a very lovely romantic stay.
Portree
Frankly, you would be lucky to score a room in this hotel. It is very small, four rooms only, it is family run. They take exceptional care of you. The hotel is well and very creatively designed, it is exceptionally clean. The attention to detail is unparalleled. The food created by Scott is on par with best restaurants we have eaten in. And every morning you have an opportunity to discuss your dinner with him. Murdo gives excellent advise on what to do on the Isle of Skye. One of the best hotel experiences ever.
Perfect place to be situated to travel and explore the Isle of Skye. For us it struck the perfect balance of a town that provided great facilities such as restaurants, shops, Petrol Garage, etc, but was also small enough to fit in with the environment and settings of the Isle of Skye. I LOVED the hotel, the room and the bathroom. Supremely comfortable and large bed, super friendly and helpful staff. Also a great restaurant within the Hotel if you needed it.
Kensaleyre
If you are looking for lovely accomodation on the isle of Skye, the Treaslane Bridge Hotel is the best choice! The house is located at the sea and you have wonderfull sea view from your appartment. The welcoming food packet was great for us, as we came to the hotel late , in the evening, freshly bottled milk in the fridge stole my heart! I thank you once again for great host and I recommend this newly designed house in the heart of nature :)))
Portree
Lovely comfortable apartment within close walking distance of Portree - apartment is underneath the Isle of Skye Paint Company so some footsteps can be heard from above from 8.00 but if you're heading out to explore, this is not an issue at all. Everything you need for a self catering stay and the breakfast provided was fab. Owner very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again if in the area (which is absolutely stunning).
Portree
What an amazing place to stay. We rented both apartments and had a wonderful time. The apartments are beautifully designed and spacious. Right across the road from the Loch with lovely views and really peaceful. The added groceries were a pleasant surprise and made for a tasty breakfast the next day. There is so much to do on the Isle of Skye and one of our favourites was driving around the peninsula, breath-taking.
This is a lovely place to stay! I highly recommend staying in this place if you are planning to visit the Isle of Skye and surrounding places by driving yourself. Living above a pub is an amazing feeling, you can always get a drink. the hotel is a bit hard to find. The hotel is actually a part of "Islander Bar". Your bartender is your reception. The breakfast is amazingly good also!
Portree
This was the perfect place to stay during our incredible visit to the Isle of Skye. A clean, quiet, warm apartment was exactly what we needed after our tiring days adventuring. Everything you could possibly need is provided, with our hosts only a few metres away to help whenever we needed it. I wouldn't stay anywhere else, and I cannot wait to be back!
Property smelt fresh and clean. Extremely well stocked for a self catered apartment. Beautiful water and mountain views Bed was comfortable and warm. Owner made sure we were comfortable and happy. 10 min to potter and same to Uig Isle of Skye. Uig Ferry takes you to Isle Harris Lewis from there. Close to Kilt rock and the most beautiful scenery.
Loved the location with a view of the lighthouse. it’s a small hotel on Sleat, the. Southern end of the Isle of Skye and we enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast was great. The hotel has an art gallery and store next to it. There is a pier in front of the hotel with benches where people can sit and enjoy the view. it has a nice old world charm to it.
Maggie and Christian were very accommodating to our needs. Kyle Hotel is perfectly located 5 minutes from the isle of skye Bridge. There is a great look out just out of the driveway too which we found by accident. Wifi hooked up instantly, and beds were comfy for a 2 night stay...everything was clean. Would highly recommend. Michelle
Breakish
The little apartment/house was super cute, clean, and relaxing in a great location! Edna stayed in great communication, and offered a thorough list of recommendations for the Isle of Skye. The house was so peaceful near the beach with the breeze blowing often and several bird feeders hanging about. Absolutely lovely!
Great stay in fully equiped apartment, we wished we had stayed longer than 2 nights. Lots of thoughtfull gifts. Apartment was larger than expected. Many travelguides and maps which helped us to decide where to hike. Remote and peacefull location on the beautiful Isle of Skye.

This apartment probably has everything anyone could need for a long term stay. We were impressed overall and would stay here again. Designated parking out front. Easily walk into downtown with groceries at the end of the street. A great base for exploring the Isle of Skye.
Everything about the stay in this hotel was fantastic. Location is perfect so you can easily go to see what you planned. Food was amazing and staff very good. Would definitely recommend to everyone who wants to explore whole Isle of Skye in few day even in December ❤️
Edinbane
Karen was extremely helpful and near-by if needed. The Apartment was modern very spacious, clean and with all the amenities needed for cooking. A local restaurant near-by and a friendly pub, a great location for our first trip to the beautiful Isle of skye.
