Hotel in Beddgelert
Situated in Beddgelert and with Snowdon reachable within 16 km, Sygun Fawr Country House features a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a bar. I would highly recommend a longer stay at the country house Sygun Fawr. It is nestled in the foothills of the mountain and provides stunning views over the Glaslyn valley. There is no substitute to waking up to such a view, or having a quiet drink late at night on the patio and seeing the golden sunlight move down the mountain. The managers instantly made us feel at home and went out of their way to help us as we toured Snowdonia, providing hot tips and sound advice. The food was fantastic, both the breakfasts and the dinners! You must try the banana bread at breakfast; it is delicious and is served up with honey gotten from their own hives. The dinners were provided by the expert hands of Paul and Kathy; just a day gone I already miss their cooking! The country house is perfectly situated and even for our longer excursions it took no more than an hour to get to either Conwy, Caernarfon or Harlech, or any of the trailheads.

Llanberis
Lovely stay at the Lake View Hotel. The hosts were great and the lounge with a fireplace, bar, and breakfast were great touches. Nothing fancy but cozy and homey - exactly what we were looking for on our stay in Snowdonia. The hosts recommended some walking paths and restaurants nearby in Llanberis which was a nice plus. Llanberis is the nearest town - about 20 min walk and 5 min car ride. We also went to a pizza and burger place on our first night which was an 8 minute walk and we really enjoyed it. No complaints from us.
Beddgelert
The apartment is very comfortable. It is spacious, well furnished, equipped with everything needed for a good stay. The property was very clean and organized, and looks managed by someone who cares a lot about your comfort as a guest. Beddgelert is a great place to base a trip to explore the Snowdonia National park. It is a lively little village with everything you may need, and a few trails you can take right from the apartment. There are a couple of cozy restaurants just a few steps away from the property.
Cleanliness is extremely important and I was so pleased that the staff had worked hard to provide us with a very clean room and bathroom. The staff were all wonderful, polite, professional and friendly and tried to make our stay as lovely as possible. Was pleased with the tea and coffee facilities in the room too. Breakfast was lovely and well presented with plenty of choice. Hotel was set in a great location for driving to the different and spectacular areas of Snowdonia and not far from the west coast.
Breakfast was lovely- location was great for us as we wanted somewhere close to Snowdonia for a hike up Snowdon, also close to the Bypass so we could visit other local places- Caernarfon itself was a pretty village, unfortunately quite a lot of the shops were closed, and a lot of pubs and restaurants in the village opened on limited days- which was a little surprising for the height of the summer holidays! The hotel staff were lovely, friendly and accommodating ! Bar and restaurant food was also nice😁
Bangor
The apartment is incredibly spacious, with a really comfortable lounge area. My group were mostly out in the day but found it a really great place to be in the evenings, sitting round and chatting. The views across to Snowdonia are excellent. We didn't cook in the apartment but if you wanted to, all the facilities/utensils are. Generally a really comfortable and stylish place to stay. My group all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we all agreed that we'd re-book.
Machynlleth
Quaint hostel in the attic of an old house. Lots of atmosphere: the common space and garden reminded us of a yard sale! Fully equipped kitchen. Convenient small supermarket in the gas station just in front of the house. Great location to explore south Snowdonia (Cadair Idris is a 10 minutes drive away). Basic room, but we expected that. The room was clean. We did not meet the hosts but all the necessary information was provided via messages on the Booking app.
Harlech
Just fell in love with the area and the Hotel was just perfect. Everybody were so friendly, helpful and cheerful. The restaurant is amazing and breakfast was delicious - the coffee was excellent. So many places to visit and I will be going back to continue my visits of the Castles. Did a Train Ride / Trek with llama's /Walking/Relaxing and strolling along the beach and of course Snowdonia amazing.
Trefriw
A superb B&B in a beautiful location, ideal for exploring Snowdonia. The hosts, Jasmine and Stuart, are so welcoming and knowledgeable about the local attractions, we instantly felt at home. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, freshly cooked with plenty of options. There are also several choices for places to eat out in the village, we particularly enjoyed the Fairy Falls Hotel. We cant wait to return.
Betws-y-coed
Amazing location close to restaurants and beautiful walks close by. The buses to Snowdonia are within a 5 minute walk of the hostel as well which was great! The common areas were spacious, a large kitchen to use, showers had hot water and the beds were wooden so there was no squeaking. The staff were lovely and gave us advice for our trip - would stay here again next time we’re back!
Betws-y-coed
The room was spacious and cozy, with everything we might want or need. The owners had adapted to the post-COVID limitations brilliantly and had devised a great system of replenishing toiletries, towels etc and it all made for an amazing stay. Also, the hotel is in a great location within the village and also within Snowdonia itself. I’ll definitely be staying there again.
Betws-y-coed
Location was incredible for our weekend exploring snowdonia. Betwys is a lovely village with plenty of good food and lovely walks. Our dog really enjoyed. Apartment was great with a well equipped kitchen, treats like cookies, tea, coffee and wine waiting on arrival, and plenty of space for the 2 of us and our dog. Would definitely recommend a stay here
It is quite welcoming hotel, with good personnel, and lots of activities nearby. Room was relatively clean and very comfortable. There is a big parking near the hotel. We it was easy to drive around Snowdonia for hiking from this Hotel, but the the main feature is the activity park near hotel. Food in Restourant is tasty
Llanrwst
The room was great, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was booked for my son who was taking part in a cycle race in Snowdonia. He was able to store his bike in his room, and as he was going to leave early and miss breakfast the hotel prepared him some food to take with him. It really exceeded our expectations!
Cosy clean cottage, with easy parking for 1 car. Kitchen had everything we needed, including wash liquid & hand gels. Log fire with wood & kindle freely supplied was a cosy touch. Good hot shower with hand wash & loo rolls. Snowdonia Adventure Park & Hilton Hotel for food/drink are 5 mins walk away.
Beautiful Country House Hotel in a stunning location. We upgraded to a superior room and had a beautiful view of the mountains of Snowdonia. The breakfast was superb with excellent choices. Yes it has a short steep driveway to the House but this was not an issue for us - would definitely recommend a stay here.
Betws-y-coed
Really neat hostel in the middle of Snowdonia. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate my unexpected late arrival. Wake up to the sound of goats and roosters out your window. Sufficient facilities for taking a shower, etc though it’s not the Ritz! Right next to the bus station. Wi-Fi is a life-saver.
Set in a good location with easy access to several places of interest. Good walking area. Easy access to Snowdonia. Hotel being refurbished so we look forward to visiting again in future. Staff pleasant, friendly and helpful. New chef prepared excellent meals. Bar meals also good.
Stayed for a long weekend as competing in the Snowdonia Trail Marathon. Hotel was a great location with easy access to the event village. It was set in lovely grounds with a beautiful view of the lake. The room was clean and comfy. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The Hotel was in a lovely setting. We had a beautiful view of snowdonia moutain range from our room. Room was very clean and you had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was very good lots of choice. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Criccieth
Great value Hotel in prime location for the area. The breakfast is great and rooms were a good size with great bathroom. The Hotel is obviously dated and in an old building but for a welcoming stay in Snowdonia you couldn't ask for more.
