Vogelkopf Resort 2 stars

Hotel in Tapokreng

Featuring a terrace and a bar, Vogelkopf Resort is located in Tapokreng. With a garden, the 2-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The Vogelkopf Resort in Raja Ampat is a real find for anyone looking to relax and enjoy some nature. The staff are super friendly and make you feel right at home. What really stands out is how the owner personally makes sure you're comfortable and enjoying your stay. The rooms are comfy and just what you need to unwind. The highlight for me was the snorkeling; it's some of the best I've ever done, with crystal-clear water and incredible marine life just off the jetty. Plus, the WiFi is surprisingly good for such a remote place, hitting around 30mbps, which is great for staying connected. Just a heads-up, due to the location, the internet might drop during storms, but that's a small price to pay for the beauty and peace you get here. Overall, Vogelkopf Resort is an excellent choice for an stress-free vacation with a bit of adventure and a lot of natural beauty."

Nyande Raja Ampat

Pulau Mansuar

Facing the seafront in Pulau Mansuar, Nyande Raja Ampat has a garden. The accommodation features free WiFi throughout the property, as well as a terrace and a traditional restaurant. We recently returned home after a wonderful five night stay in one of Nyande's over the water bungalows Nyande is well deserving of it's high rating. The owner Andy has put meticulous thought and care into covering all the bases when he designed the place. His staff was always buzzing around taking care of the bungalows, surrounding grounds, and preparing some of the most delicious meals we had during our entire month in Indonesia. The reef directly in front is beautiful and continued to be even more so as we snorkeled east towards and past the village. Heck, it was also gorgeous heading west past the other home stays as well. The night sky visible from our deck was magnificent! It felt perfectly safe to leave all of the doors and windows open as we slept which felt magical. We will highly recommend Nyande to others and sincerely look forward to returning.

Mansuar Raja Ampat Bungalows

Kri

Mansuar Raja Ampat Bungalows features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Kri. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. Loved every bit of it. The homestay had puppies and cats which all had the most beautiful temperament - my partner and I loved them and they would cuddle lots with you. The food was so yummy - and they were extremely considerate of all my allergies. The house reef was also incredible, we often saw sharks and turtles. They also organised day trips for us that were very well priced. The location as well as people was amazing - the most beautiful view 24/7, so sad to be leaving but will 1000% be back.

Amfriwen Homestay

Yennanas Besir

Facing the seafront in Yennanas Besir, Amfriwen Homestay features a private beach area and a garden. The property offers free private parking. The guest house has family rooms. We enjoyed our stay at Amfriwen. The bungalow was clean, had a fan, a mosquito net and a little shelf space. The veranda and the view were amazing. The bathroom was outside and for us one of the better facilities during our stay in Raja ampat. The food was very simple but always enough. We enjoyed our stay and say thank you to the lovely family.

GAM BAY bungalow's

Besir

Located in Besir in the West Papua region, GAM BAY bungalow's features a balcony and sea views. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace. Aron and his family provided us with a wonderful stay. The bungalow has a fantastic view directly out to sea. You jump into the water, swim 100m and find corals and a great variety of species. Around the bungalow we saw a wobbegong, an epaulette shark, reef sharks, turtles and starfish in the most colorful colors. Aron organized coconuts for us at our request, we were served delicious food directly on our terrace and went on many excursions to fantastic snorkeling spots. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were happy and comfortable. Aron even organized ear drops from Waisai when we got an earache from diving and saved our vacation! Thank you so much for everything. It was an unforgettable vacation!

Terimakasih homestay

Pulau Mansuar

Situated in Pulau Mansuar in the West Papua region, Terimakasih homestay has a garden. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The property offers sea views. Mario and team are fantastic and they make sure to arrange transport, trips etc. The location is perfect with relative closeness to multiple dive shops. The house reef and jetty are wonderful. High standard for the price. Talked to multiple people who explained their homestay as well as other guests here that been in other parts of Raja Ampat and it seems like the standard here is much better than in most other places.

Raja Ampat Eco Lodge

Tapokreng

Set 500 metres from Saprokren Beach, Raja Ampat Eco Lodge offers accommodation with a garden, a terrace and room service for your convenience. Complimentary WiFi is offered throughout the property. We booked 6 nights in December at the Raja Ampat Eco Lodge. The lodge was fantastic! The bungalows are spacious, clean and beautifully appointed with a very comfortable bed, seating and dining areas and nice lighting. While there isn't air conditioning, the breeze coming from the sea and the large quiet fan made it easy to sleep at night despite warm temperatures. We didn't have any issues with mosquitoes or other bugs either. The food was delicious and varied each day. We loved the fresh juices, curries and vegetables. The house beach is beautiful and the reef has a good variety of fish. We even saw an octopus a couple of times! The owners are lovely and the service provided by the team is professional and kind.

Junior Homestay

Kri

Junior Homestay is a recently renovated homestay in Kri, where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony and free private parking. Located just outside of the Kri island 'hub', junior homestay is a short walk to the dive shop and a long jetty for getting out to the drop off for low tide snorkelling. At high tide there is a great reef directly out from the homestay. Like most homestays on Kri, they are growing, currently there are four bungalows and soon to be 6. The owner Habel is quiet and unassuming, he'll help you organise whatever you need, but you may be better off messaging him on WhatsApp or booking.com as this allows him to use google translate (he's very happy with this). Rubin is the primary staff member we interacted with, he and his brother work there and are originally from batang, very friendly and bringing afternoon coconuts if you ask! Food was really good, always multiple protein options and a bit of variety in what was provided. Noting that meals still mostly align with the local options! Each bungalow has a great outlook and a hammock!

TABARI DIVE LODGE

Pulau Mansuar

With sea views, TABARI DIVE LODGE is located in Pulau Mansuar and has a restaurant, a shared kitchen, bar, garden, terrace and barbecue. Lovely hosts, especially Brigitte will do her best to make everyone feel comfortable. After a day or two, it feels like family (and if you're lucky enough to have good-hearted, like-minded travelers staying at Tabari, it's amazing). Meals three times a day (main dish, bread, sometims salad, dessert) you can go eat later than time food is served. You'll definitely not be hungry. We were served lunch also on day of arrival and chek out Food was always delicious (more European cuisine). You can ask for vegetarian meals. Instant coffee, tea, water available all day for free. I think beer 80.000 and drinks 100.000 R., Acceptable, considering the hotel has to buy at marginally lower prices on Waigo, and that you find higher prices elsewhere in Indonesia. House reef is in excellent condition, colorful fish, even turtles, and coral abound. You ca dpend your day snorkeling and not get bored. Diving and trips can be arranged. Trips are a little pricy, but the one to Pianemo is absolutely worth it. There were 7 huts, if I remember correctly. The huts are basic (be aware that the walls do not reach the ceiling and there are no glass windows), but they are fresh and clean. There's a mosquito net in good condition around the bed. Our hut, contrary to those of others, did not have a bathroom door, but we didn't mind. Few mosquitoes. Bring anti-repellent tablets and spirals (nights no electricity) and it's fine. No bugs seen! Electricity is not 24 hours, but it's sufficient for the life you lead on the island. When lights go out at latest 11 pm, it's beautiful to sit on the veranda in the darkness, observing the endless stars while listening to the waves lapping or crashing against the hut stilts.
