Kyukamura Nyuto-Onsenkyo is set in Senboku, within 18 km of Tazawako Station and 23 km of Lake Tazawa. It has indoor and outdoor onsen! The ambiance of the outdoor onsen in the winter is very spectacular. They also have massage chairs and foot massages. The booking comes with delicious and sufficient buffet breakfast and dinner. When I couldn't book the airport shuttle because I could not speak Japanese well, the staff called them on my behalf and made sure that The room is very nice and clean. It's just a walk away from other onsen. You can 'rent' coat, boots, and towels for free if you want to walk outside and go to other onsen.

We liked our room. It was quite spacious and the staff was really nice. The location was extremely close to the station that made traveling comfortable. It's also a 25-30 minute walk from the Samurai Residencies.

The hotel was right outside the train station, literally a 10 seconds walk. Location is fantastic. The room was also very clean and comfy and spacious. There is also a restaurant in the hotel for meals. The breakfast is buffet style, maybe abit basic but was nevertheless great. Was buying the akita inu plushies at the in house souvenier store in the hotel and the staff was patient with us, she took a few out and let us choose the ones we wanted to buy. Really like the Japanese hospitality experienced in the hotel. There is nothing to dislike.

Great space in the house, multiple rooms on the ground floor including the kitchen, everything is neat and clean. Koh-san always goes above and beyond: this time, he helped us buy tickets for a performance (which required research and dedication!), and also with a hotel reservation needing phone calls. Thank you so much for all your help, and we hope to be back again one winter -- Akita is our favorite prefecture!

Everything was convenient, clean and pretty, but above everything else was the owners kindness. Constantly present and helpful, they were a delight and an absolute pleasure to chat with. I intend to come visit Akita again, I don't know when, but I'll make sure to come back to this hostel.

We arrived late but the warm reception with a complimentary ramen, which is only availble from 7-9 pm, was a delight. The hotel is old but well maintained. The toilet and bath was newly renovated and very clean. The bed was comfortable and conducive to a good night sleep.

Even though there is a private toilet and bath, the onsen here is super good, the outdoor onsen together with a cold snowy winter of Akita gave me the best relaxing feeling. They also provide one drink for each customer. Hotel itself is located around 15 mins walk from Akita JR station.
