GRAND NIKKO AWAJI is located across Akashi Strait Bridge, a 15-minute drive from JR Maiko Station. We used this The Grand Nikko Awaji for visiting family recently moved to Awaji. The room was stunning and the view exceptional. While researching the Grand Nikko English website, room selection and planning our mode of transport from the airport, we found that it was not as comprehensive as the Japanese and not being able to read Japanese was a problem. We phoned the hotel and the wonderful CRM manager Y Uchimizu went above and beyond helping us get organised with transport and room selection. The bed was comfortable, room spacious, balcony accessible. Bathroom was fabulous with good shower and bathtub. Western breakfast was average, with poor variety, cold eggs, non-crispy bacon, no wholemeal bread assortment, . My partner loved the Japanese breakfast, which she said was delicious in every way and had great variety. Coffee as often in Japan was mediocre.
