Sumptuous breakfast that we didn't get hungry until dinner time. 7. The host, friendly and accommodating.

The room was in a beautiful traditional Japanese style with Tatami floor and futon beds and our host was just the kindest and nicest person! :) it’s located right next to the canal there is a bento shop on the first floor. A supermarket, the Tochigi station and a boat ride on the canal are all in walking distance.

I was here for my 60th birthday. I asked for a room that was quiet and with a view. Both of those were absolutely accommodated for on the 12th floor, no less. I could see the beautiful mountainside while listening to the river below. What an incredible view and experience. From the moment I arrived, the wonderful lady at the front desk made sure my stay was beyond expectations. She spoke great English and was helpful in every way imagined. She truly went out of her way to make me feel special. She and all of the staff were like family. I will never forget them and the wonderful time I had. They are truly in my heart.
