Melaka is amazing, historical locations reveal the past occupation by at least three european countries. Some more time allows also a visit to Sumatra island. I recommend a visit to the up side down house.
Melaka is one of the best state to visit handsdown in Malaysia..Full of diverse many great ancient cultural history..Amomg the most cleanest states here..Not known for great beaches since facing Selat/Straits of Melaka..
Actually melaka is one of place thats i like more... i like to go n sit at opposite musium sains islam.. there is sitting place bcs only in Malaysia we have more energy bubles there and its good for health. And if see there are so many peoples will meditate there..tq
Avoid visiting Melaka during Public Holiday and National school holiday. Everywhere is pack with people especillay Jonker street. Don’t miss to visit Dataran Pahlawan.. very educational for children .
The city has grown tremendously .must try Nyonya food . Heard from the locals that Jonker walk is best visited during weekends. Chicken rice ball is another must for foodies. There's a lot of places of interest around Melaka. Butterfly farm, crocodile farm and zoo to name a few. Traffic is very heavy during School holidays and weekends .
It's easy to get around Melaka even you are a solo traveller. Many heritage places nearby. And it's comfortable to walk around places. Especially, if you walking down the Melaka riverside. You will be surprised to find many beautiful places. Do not forget to walk along the river by Melaka river cruise at night filled with beautiful lights and history. Melaka food is the best. You will find many delicious deserts and foods. Lets say, durian cendol, coconut shake, asam pedas ikan Pari, nyonya food, and many more. Highly recommended. My Favorite places : Jonkers street, Melaka riverside, St Paul Hill, Red Square, Merdeka street.
Eat, asam pedas was good. Coconut shake was good. Keria gula melaka was good. And all the moment of monument, town view also mosque was very good. Must try to experience the cruise of melaka river.
Melaka is quite similar with "Kota Tua" in Indonesia. One of famous place is Jonker Walk, or Chinatown maybe. You can easly found chinese food, place and others. For Muslims, be carefull about some foods in here, most of them are non-halal food. Be prepare your stamina, a lot of place in here can be accsess by walking.
Lovely and compact. Might be small for some, I found it homely and welcoming. Weekend night markets are just awesome. Plenty of different food at friendly price and lot more. You will not see flashier trishaw then in Melaka. Definitely worth the visit.
I do not why it take too long to built the 'fly over' at MITC juntion (trafic light at MITC). So..thats why tourist are reluctant to visit Melaka. CM should take action on it.
Arenaa Deluxe Hotel is always my first choice. I've stayed here many times and never once disappointed with their services. The staff are friendly, very helpful and efficient. I highly recommend this hotel to all my family and friends to stay here whenever they visit Melaka and they are also regulars now. The rooms are cozy and clean with comfortable beds and pillows. Very convenient and close to restaurants and not far from the town area. I love the view from the balcony 😁.
Melaka
I had an amazing time at the Amber Cove! The apartment's amenities, which included free private parking and free Wi-Fi, made my stay even better. The outdoor pool and round-the-clock security added an air of luxury, and the mini-market on-site was really handy. The garden worked as a peaceful retreat. I felt at home because of the welcoming environment for families. My top pick for a hotel in Malacca is the Amber Cove Melaka Hotel. Strongly advised for a fun visit
We did a booking absolutely unplanned, because after a couple hours in Melaka we made a decision to stay for a night. So we are family of 3 (2 adults and kid 5yo)we were looking for a hotel with pool and breakfast, close to the city center. Luckily the hotel had enough rooms and we did a booking same day as check in . The room was nice , the hotel pool with infinity view, the breakfast was full of choice! We had a good experience.
Location is a quick 20min walk to Jonker, but ALSO a quick 10min walk to the other side of Melaka downtown which is also nice and feels a lot more local. Bedroom was perfect for our 2 night stay, well equipped. Pretty basic but has everything you need. Host was very responsive and let us check out late, she was lovely. Also had laundry facilities and a drying rack which was a plus. Great value for money
Wow. Casugria is a jewel. Easy walking distance to everything you'll want to visit in Melaka, yet outside the insanity of the historic center. Lovely accommodations. Gracious hosts that know how to perfectly balance privacy with an amazing experience of the harmony and hospitality that is Malaysia. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Melaka... Don't miss this special place!
Delightful hotel. Elegant and welcoming, with absolutely wonderful service. Staying at the majestic truly felt like a home base as we explored Melaka. The room was beautiful and every effort was made to ensure the room was well supplied and serviced.Although the hotel is on the edge of historic town centre , the walk is easy and pleasant along the riverbank so the position is excellent.
A very chic and stylish hotel. Well decorated and the attention to detail and styling were very good. The branding is good with very distinct style and signature. The modern industrial and New York design is very appealing and attractive. Hotel and its room are clean and well maintained. We were pleasantly surprised. I would stay here again if we visit Melaka in future.
It was a perfect stay. Plenty of parking space, not too crowded. Well-mannered customer service. Will definitely come and stay here if we come to Malacca. Spacious room with a good view. Even though the building may look old fashioned, I can say that the interior design was acceptable. Overall, good, satisfied and worth every penny. Thumbs up, Bayview Hotel Melaka.
The hotel is on the edge of "little india", and on first viewing is a little quirky ( don't take that as a negative ) in a converted shop house. The rooms and facilities are very good, and the lap pool on the roof a great addition. The hotel location is a 10 min walk from the river that is the central focus of the tourist attractions of Melaka,
Been busy so only had time to rate now, but I'm not kidding when I say that this place is the best out of all homestays I've been both here in Malaysia and in the Philippines. The staffs are very thoughtful and quick to reply to all our inquiries. Next time that we travel to Melaka, we will definitely stay here again!
Melaka
Hotel is in the same building as the pines melaka but hosted by other business which is greystone. Make sure to read all instructions provided by the property. Room is spacious, clean and the bed was so comfortable. Location is very near to melaka river cruise where you can opt to walk along the river to get to jonker walk.
The property is very close to everything and it is immaculate. It’s so clean. Our host Ridzsuan was amazing. He booked a taxi and woke at 5 am to make sure it arrived. He suggested some great restaurants and places to go throughout Malaysia. This was our first time in Melaka and we will be back. Thank you for a great stay!
Room was spacious and comfortable for 3 adults. Shower has good water pressure. Breakfast was great which included many vegetarian options for my mum to try. Staff at the front desk were friendly. We also had dinner at Tosca restaurant located on the 13th floor of Doubletree by Hilton Melaka which was overall pleasant.
Melaka
This is one of the better hostels I’ve stayed in. The facilities are excellent, and very clean compared to other hostels. WiFi access is good, along with free tea and coffee in the common area. Comfortable place to base a stay in Melaka - although you probably need only one or two nights to see everything in town.
The apartment was clean and comfortable for my family stay in Melaka. Everything like the remotes, kettle, oven toaster and fridge work. There is also a shop on ground floor where we could buy water and snacks. Very close to restaurants and shops. We enjoyed our stay and will definately stay there again.
Clean and very comfortable room. The carpet very clean and bathroom clean with nice hot water. What i love the most is this hotel is very near to tourist spot such as menara taming sari, kota melaka, dataran pahlawan mall and medan samudera. It also closed to restaurant. Everything is in walking distance.
I would highly recommend this accommodation. We had a room with balcony and it was quite spacious. The hotel is beautiful, very nicely decorated. It is centrally located and has a parking, which is very useful in Melaka. The service is excellent with a very friendly and efficient staff.
Beautiful tiles in the toilet.. Hot water functioning well.. Good water pressure.. They provide 2 small bottle of drinking water, jug kettle and 3in1 coffee in the room.. Walking distance to melaka Sentral.. Facing melaka river and walking distance to the mydin mall and restaurant..
Melaka
The couple who own it are beyond lovely. Super helpful if you have any questions and just want to make sure you have the best time not only in Melaka but across Malaysia. The cakes in the morning were sooo good and coffees and teas available if you want them.
It is very near to almost all the popular spots in Melaka. Just stones throw away from the Hotel. In front of the hotel got Guardian some more. Many good cafes around. Swimming pool was excellent, receiptionist was friendly and attend us well.
