Miri also has many place of interesting to go like Malaysia's oldest and largest cave, Niah Cave, the oldest petroleum mining, The Grand Old Lady, unique beach, Tusan Beach and many more. Dont forget to try local food like Nasi Lalapan, Laksa Sarawak and Kolo Mee. It is beyond your expectation.

And for shopping, u can go to sarikin. Open only on saturday and sunday 1 hours and half, from kuching. U also can go to cultural village to explore more about sarawak divearse.

There are many activities that can be done in Kuching. The stay should be at least 3d2n to feel the culture, environment and food. For me, my favourite places are Sarawak Cultural Village and Pasar serikin, Bau. Also, there are variety of local food that I've tried such as Mee Kolok, Laksa Sarawak, Kek Lapis Sarawak,Umai, fresh seafood, Terubok masin etc and at the same time enjoying the great scenery.

I love the fact that food is really cheap and delicious in Kuching. We enjoyed the kolo mee at Annie Kolo Mee, seafood dinner at TopSpot and sarawak laksa at Mrs Tang’s. We thought the kek lapis at Dayang Salhah was a little too overrated. Found nicer lapis cakes at Maani Cafe which was just across the entrance of Hilton. There isn’t many attractions though so it got rather boring for us. The food, however, made up for it! Hilton is a really strategic location and very accessible to most of the eateries, massage parlour, bars and cafes. They were all within walking distance! Pullman hotel would be a great choice of stay as well.

The food much cheaper than expectation. Taste great too! Especially at Top Spot. Most of the sarawakian was friendly and helpful. Overall, Sarawak is the place which value for money and most recommended for person who love outdoor activity like hiking, food hunter & mind relaxation.

The room to comfy and cozy. A bit small but just nice for single traveller. It's a walking distance to Kuching main attraction location - the waterfront. There's a lot of activities suitable for family and individuals. It's just a 1-min boat right to the other side of waterfront to shop for Terubok Masin or Kek Lapis Sarawak. Close by to market and souvenir shops. Those who love walking by the river and enjoy the night view of bandar Kuching but prefer a budget stay, Tune Hotel Waterfront is the best choice.

We would recommend Hotel Nur to our friends and family who are visiting Miri. The location is ideal, and the coin laundry is only 2 minutes away.

While in Kuching, I happened upon the street parade (held in a great spot, directly in front of the Hilton Hotel, and accompanied by spectacular fireworks) and learned that Sarawak was commemorating its 60th anniversary.
