Set alongside Matira Beach, Village Temanuata offers traditional Polynesian-style bungalows offering direct beach access. Guests can relax on the sun loungers or indulge in a massage. Excellent place in every aspect: closeness of everything, kind stuff, spacious bungalow with all you would need for catering, private beach... The next best thing to a resort :-), but for a fraction of resort's price.
Located in Bora Bora, BORA BORA HOLIDAY'S LODGE features water sports facilities, terrace and free WiFi. The property offers bike hire and features a garden and outdoor pool. The site is located high in the mountain and very comfortable. Ceiling fan, air conditioner, kitchenette with lots of space for two people. Maheita and Maire are very helpful and supportive when it’s time for planning our activities. Great Ladies always available to help. We did a tour with Narii which was suppose to be a tour with multiple people. Due to the current restriction we end-up as a private tour with Narii a great gentleman that tell you about history of Bora Bora.
Located in Bora Bora in the Bora Bora region, Vaiotaha Lodge provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Lovely place. Great mountain view. People are really kind, the owner give us a ride.(charged) My family spent nice and cozy time. The kitchen was great. We could cook ramen for our dinner in that kitchen :3 I love cats and dogs, so the fact that they have dogs and cats is good for me!
Featuring a private white sand beach which is exclusive to guests, this luxury resort offers beachfront accommodation on Matira Point. Guests can stay in unique bungalows positioned over the water. Loved the over-the-water bungalow. Private dock to go down into the ocean, little window inside to feed the fish from. We stayed in several hotels during our stay and this was my favorite. Naturally, it's a little expensive, but an overall awesome experience!
Exclusively located in a private cove on Motu To’opua, Conrad Bora Bora Nui enjoys vast blue ocean views and a white sand beach. The service was perfect and the staff was so nice and welcoming. We loved our welcome tour with Melissa. The food was good. The facilities and spa where awesome. We loved snorkeling around our over the water villa, paddeling and swimming at the pool.
Guests at this luxury resort can choose between garden suites with private pool, beachfront suites with a private hot tub, or overwater bungalows with direct access to the turquoise waters below. Overwater bungalow with view of coral fish through the floor. Staff were exceptional. Snorkeling, swim up bar.
In the Matira Beach district of Bora Bora, close to Maitai Polynesia Bora Bora Beach, Matira Beach Bungalow Waterfront has a garden and a washing machine. The bungalow is located in a quiet and private area, at the very tip of Matira beach. The sandy part of the beach is only couple minutes away in a walking distance, same as restaurants and a small market. The bungalow is new, modern and very clean, the kitchen well equipped. Having a washing machine was a great plus. Frank and his wife were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

There are 59 hotels on Bora Bora you can book on Booking.com缤客.
On average, 3-star hotels on Bora Bora cost £150 per night, and 4-star hotels on Bora Bora are £548 per night. If you're looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel on Bora Bora can on average be found for £1,316 per night (based on Booking.com缤客 prices).
Vaitape itself is just a small village with loads of tourist shops and not much else. It's also where the cruise ships anchor so if you're there when a ship is in it becomes a lot busier. Worth a visit to see the place but 2 hours is more than adequate. The places to stay in Bora Bora are, of course, the resort hotels which are dotted around the island either on the island itself or, in many cases, on private islands in the lagoon. This is where you will be able to relax and/or take part in various lagoon based activities and excursions.
Vaitape is not geared towards tourists. We weren't able to even buy coconuts in Vaitape - there are not many transport options to go around the island. The tourist information office is only open during certain hours (from 09:00am, I recall) and then the staff on the tourist information desk were not really able to speak English. Most of the shops are black pearl shops and there are not enough tourist activities - we were looking to give somebody our money for any tourist activities. Other locations in Bora Bora are amazing - Mitira beach; Coral gardens by the Sofitel private island; the lookout on the other side of the island. We were so keen to see some turtles while in Bora Bora, it seemed to only be offered by Le Meridian.
We had a great wedding and honeymoon in Bora Bora with amazing views, photos, memories that we would not trade for anything else. I would get married here again, and come back every time we can.
Whether you are on one of the motus surrounding Bora Bora or on the main island, lack of nearby house reefs for good snorkelling with coral gardens and plenty of fish. A big disappointment for someone used to the Maldives. Otherwise, this is one of the paradises on earth.
I'd say Bora Bora is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Really. It is in good proportion and perfect with its size, form and its surroundings of the lagoon, the reef and the colours. It is an island with the sands so white and it reflects so many different shades of blue of the water in the lagoon. Matira beach is really a beautiful spot in Bora Bora. The sand is so white and the water is dazzling turquoise blue; a short boat ride to the outer reef. It is well serviced with a few rental agencies of cars, boats and scooters. Supermarkets, bars and restaurants are also there. Besides self catering we enjoyed a buffet dinner and entertainment at the Intercontinental Hotel. We spent a day, actually 7 hours, longer than we expected, driving a little boat in the lagoon around the island, taking in its beauty, for our own record that we really saw Bora Bora from air, by land and by sea. And all is beautiful !
There are many different ways to experience Bora Bora, and all are great. Personally, I prefer staying on the island to experience more of local life because a resort experience - apart from the view - tends to be the same the world over.
Staying with real people , effectively in their home although in every way separate. The people generally and the vibrant scenery- water , reefs and mountains However Bora Bora was the least interesting of the 4 Islands we stayed on ; in order of preference Huahine, Tahiti/Moorea and Bora bora. The overdevelopment in separate enclaves of 5&6 Star overwater resorts on the Motu are sucking the life- commercial and social out of Bora Bora. This is especially so for Vaitape which just exists.
Very beautiful! A boat tour around the island is a must, as you want to see the lagoon with the marine life in it. I would also recommend a day of cycling or scootering around the main island, as it only takes 2-3 hours to cycle the whole island. Staying in one of the resorts is a great option for Bora Bora, as you would want to experience that luxurious style on this island, but make sure you don't spend all your time in the resort. Take time to head to Vaitape, the main town to eat the street food, buy some fresh fruits and souvenirs. And if you're lucky enough to be there during festival seasons during June/July, do go and check out the performances there too!
Bora bora is the real paradise amazing the matira beach is the only public beach bit is really nice, great the lagoon trip swim with sharks and manta I never see a cristal clear water, the local people are amazing and very welcoming and the nature of bora bora is stunning I raccomanded all traveller to come here once in the life is a real paradise
It’s everything as described. I love the style of the property! Beds very comfortable, wifi, air con all good. Absolutely gorgeous view of the mountain and literally a few minutes to Vaitape or Matira beach by car. Having a kitchenette in our apartment has been wonderful especially travelling with 2 children. Laura has been incredible with organising taxi, car hire, & excursion for us. If we are ever in the fortunate position to travel to Bora Bora again we would definitely stay here again.
Amazing hosts!!! Picked us up at the airport - arranged a car - brought us back to the airport. Affordable Paradies - if you’re going to Bora Bora and don’t need a 5 Star Hotel - this is the right place to go! From Bed into the water - we had a great stay but only for two nights! Thank you sooooo much - for the nice welcome - we will never forget these two days - it was amazing!
Wonderful place, perfect location of the Hotel on the south tip of Bora Bora. Lovely water bungalows and friendly staff! Nice water sports equipment included and right next to the one and only public beach on the main island! I can absolutely recommend this place and would come again!
Everything is perfect! If you are considering Bora Bora, look no further. This hotel is flawless.
Bora Bora is absolute paradise and this hotel is very nice and affordable.
The bungalow offered everything that we needed. The hosts; Marc Andre and Annette, were absolutely amazing! They were super hospitable. The pickup from the shuttle went smooth. Marc Andre took us to the grocery store on the way to the bungalow [and back as well] to get what we wanted to eat during our stay. He even provided bags (the grocery stores do not provide bags). The bungalow had a full kitchen. If we had any requests, the hosts were always willing to assist. The location is good. They provide bikes to ride around and into town. It was nice to snorkel right off the patio. We enjoyed their cats and dog. One of the cats liked staying in our bungalow quite often. I was fine with that since I am a cat lover. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!
Super clean, cute, and central place to stay. Just a 10-15 minute walk from the ferry port and food trucks. Our host was extremely helpful and happy to answer any questions we had. She was also kind enough to drop us off at a beach when she did not have to! A full kitchen is super convenient for making meals. Our room had a large deck to lounge on and enjoy the sunset!
Nir came to pick us up, took care of us from start to end, he is infinitely kind and human! He has a special and spectacular place! Nir is an outstanding artist! he combined nature and historical in the same combination. Our room was Art Deco with well-crafted wood, tastefully decorated meticulously! The bathroom is outside and outstanding!! Well done and great job Nir!!! If you like peace, nature, hearing birds singing and cutting yourself off from the world, come here! There are also 2 dogs that welcome and guard you!
Everything great value position was amazing and staff was very helpful. My high recommendation
This was my favorite location by far. You have to know going in that this is not a hotel or resort but a unique experience you will not have anywhere else. Tea is the owner and very easy to communicate with. She answered all of our questions before we submitted payment via wire from our bank. We used email and WhatsApp to communicate throughout the process and while on the island. Here is a bit of an overview of our stay. You will take the ferry from the airport to the town of Vaitape where you will meet Joel who will walk you over to the local market (Chin Lee) to buy groceries for your stay. Joel will take you in his boat to the island which is about a 15-minute ride. Joel and his wife, Tatiana, live on the island as well and there are about five additional homes on the island, but since you have the whole south end we never felt as there were people around at all. Joel and Tatiana are very friendly and only speak French so I used WhatsApp with Google Translator to communicate with them which worked great. There are three main buildings - two bedrooms which each have a full bathroom (warm enough to shower but not hot water) nice size bed with mosquito netting, a deck, and can be locked if needed, and one open-air kitchen/living room which is amazing. The kitchen is actually well-stocked. There is a four-burner small gas stove which worked for all our needs (there is also an oven but we did not use it), a full-size refrigerator but no freezer. There is power and plugs throughout all three buildings and so you can charge your equipment, there are lights at night. Overall, I would say this was the most relaxing, unique, beautiful, and special place we stayed in our two-week, six island vacation in French Polynesia. As long as you can cook, clean, and take care of yourself, and can live with bugs, be frugal on your power usage and live without A/C I cannot recommend this place higher.
