ROYAL BORA BORA features a restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, a bar and garden in Bora Bora. Each accommodation at the 3-star hotel has a garden view, and guests can enjoy access to a terrace. We stayed here four nights, lovely big room, good shower ac etc.. The beach it’s on is lovely, swim right after breakfast. it’s own pier where they can pick you up for boat trips. (half day shark and ray snorkelling was fantastic). hire a scooter and go round the island too, can walk 10 mins to rent one, have restaurant and small super market 5-10 minute walk away. I read a few reviews before booking that seemed to be comparing it to the other big and really expensive hotels which you can’t. at this hotel it is affordable luxury sharing the same stretch of beach and water that down the road would cost you 5k plus a night. food and drinks at the bar and restaurant on site is fantastic too.
Set alongside Matira Beach, Village Temanuata offers traditional Polynesian-style bungalows offering direct beach access. Guests can relax on the sun loungers or indulge in a massage. We stayed in the bungalow on the beach and it was incredible. There was a lot of breeze so the room kept cool. The location is right next to the public beach and a supermarket which is very convenient. The room was cleaned everyday. We also forgot our camera by accident and the owner has let us known and is shipping it to us. Everything was great!
Located in Bora Bora, BORA BORA HOLIDAY'S LODGE features water sports facilities, terrace and free WiFi. The hotel has a garden and provides an outdoor swimming pool. The site is located high in the mountain and very comfortable. Ceiling fan, air conditioner, kitchenette with lots of space for two people. Maheita and Maire are very helpful and supportive when it’s time for planning our activities. Great Ladies always available to help. We did a tour with Narii which was suppose to be a tour with multiple people. Due to the current restriction we end-up as a private tour with Narii a great gentleman that tell you about history of Bora Bora.

Offering garden views, Anaiva Lodge Bora in Bora Bora offers accommodation, free bikes, a garden and a terrace. Both WiFi and private parking are available at the apartment free of charge. Me and my wife had two nights at Anaiva Lodge, and we enjoyed it very much. Vicky picked us up by the dock when we arrived by boat and drove us directly to the lodge. She was very helpful and kind during our stay. The lodge itself was clean and had everything we needed. We borrowed bikes from the lodge and went to Matira beach were we had a lovely day. It is also walking distance to centrum. We would definitely recommend Anaiva Lodge to other guests.

Situated in Bora Bora, Tiki House features accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning, free bikes and access to a garden with a year-round outdoor pool. Transportation to/from Tiki House was dependable and invaluable. Professionally crafted five star meals kept us happy. Vaitape itself is just a small village with loads of tourist shops and not much else. It's also where the cruise ships anchor so if you're there when a ship is in it becomes a lot busier. Worth a visit to see the place but 2 hours is more than adequate. The places to stay in Bora Bora are, of course, the resort hotels which are dotted around the island either on the island itself or, in many cases, on private islands in the lagoon. This is where you will be able to relax and/or take part in various lagoon based activities and excursions.
Vaitape is not geared towards tourists. We weren't able to even buy coconuts in Vaitape - there are not many transport options to go around the island. The tourist information office is only open during certain hours (from 09:00am, I recall) and then the staff on the tourist information desk were not really able to speak English. Most of the shops are black pearl shops and there are not enough tourist activities - we were looking to give somebody our money for any tourist activities. Other locations in Bora Bora are amazing - Mitira beach; Coral gardens by the Sofitel private island; the lookout on the other side of the island. We were so keen to see some turtles while in Bora Bora, it seemed to only be offered by Le Meridian.
We had a great wedding and honeymoon in Bora Bora with amazing views, photos, memories that we would not trade for anything else. I would get married here again, and come back every time we can.
Whether you are on one of the motus surrounding Bora Bora or on the main island, lack of nearby house reefs for good snorkelling with coral gardens and plenty of fish. A big disappointment for someone used to the Maldives. Otherwise, this is one of the paradises on earth.
I'd say Bora Bora is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Really. It is in good proportion and perfect with its size, form and its surroundings of the lagoon, the reef and the colours. It is an island with the sands so white and it reflects so many different shades of blue of the water in the lagoon. Matira beach is really a beautiful spot in Bora Bora. The sand is so white and the water is dazzling turquoise blue; a short boat ride to the outer reef. It is well serviced with a few rental agencies of cars, boats and scooters. Supermarkets, bars and restaurants are also there. Besides self catering we enjoyed a buffet dinner and entertainment at the Intercontinental Hotel. We spent a day, actually 7 hours, longer than we expected, driving a little boat in the lagoon around the island, taking in its beauty, for our own record that we really saw Bora Bora from air, by land and by sea. And all is beautiful !
There are many different ways to experience Bora Bora, and all are great. Personally, I prefer staying on the island to experience more of local life because a resort experience - apart from the view - tends to be the same the world over.
Staying with real people , effectively in their home although in every way separate. The people generally and the vibrant scenery- water , reefs and mountains However Bora Bora was the least interesting of the 4 Islands we stayed on ; in order of preference Huahine, Tahiti/Moorea and Bora bora. The overdevelopment in separate enclaves of 5&6 Star overwater resorts on the Motu are sucking the life- commercial and social out of Bora Bora. This is especially so for Vaitape which just exists.
Very beautiful! A boat tour around the island is a must, as you want to see the lagoon with the marine life in it. I would also recommend a day of cycling or scootering around the main island, as it only takes 2-3 hours to cycle the whole island. Staying in one of the resorts is a great option for Bora Bora, as you would want to experience that luxurious style on this island, but make sure you don't spend all your time in the resort. Take time to head to Vaitape, the main town to eat the street food, buy some fresh fruits and souvenirs. And if you're lucky enough to be there during festival seasons during June/July, do go and check out the performances there too!
Bora bora is the real paradise amazing the matira beach is the only public beach bit is really nice, great the lagoon trip swim with sharks and manta I never see a cristal clear water, the local people are amazing and very welcoming and the nature of bora bora is stunning I raccomanded all traveller to come here once in the life is a real paradise
We stayed at an over-the-water bungalow. The interior actually exceeded our expectations. Contemporary newly remodeled bungalow with a touch of Polynesian ornament. Turquois water over white sand is a beauty and its pleasing to get into the water right from bungalow. The beach is beautiful, like on pictures of Bora Bora, and swimming pool is stylish, too. The food is decent (except pretentious romantic restaurant where nothing meets their said "high" standards).
It’s beautifully done and in an excellent shape. Staff is very friendly and very helpful amazing bungalow in the tree (we generally don’t like to have over water room) with large deck. We come to Bora Bora almost every year end stayed in many different hotel and this one is probably the best we have seen so far We enjoyed the opu opu bar fir a nice cocktail and a light diner at night instead if more formal other restaurants
Our trip was interrupted when we tested positive for Covid. It could have been a nightmare of a vacation but Maitai Bora Bora is the only place I would ever want to quarantine for 10 days. Our over the water bungalow was the perfect place for sole R&R and the hotel staff was very accommodating to our situation .
The Yrondi Hotel is definitely a one of a kind. It’s an artist’s Villa turned hotel perched at the top of a hill overlooking the famous Bora Bora cliffs and ocean. Beds are comfortable, has AC and the manager is exceptional.
Everything is perfect! If you are considering Bora Bora, look no further. This hotel is flawless.
The island Bora Bora is great, this facility is not. There is market close.
The bungalow offered everything that we needed. The hosts; Marc Andre and Annette, were absolutely amazing! They were super hospitable. The pickup from the shuttle went smooth. Marc Andre took us to the grocery store on the way to the bungalow [and back as well] to get what we wanted to eat during our stay. He even provided bags (the grocery stores do not provide bags). The bungalow had a full kitchen. If we had any requests, the hosts were always willing to assist. The location is good. They provide bikes to ride around and into town. It was nice to snorkel right off the patio. We enjoyed their cats and dog. One of the cats liked staying in our bungalow quite often. I was fine with that since I am a cat lover. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!
Super clean, cute, and central place to stay. Just a 10-15 minute walk from the ferry port and food trucks. Our host was extremely helpful and happy to answer any questions we had. She was also kind enough to drop us off at a beach when she did not have to! A full kitchen is super convenient for making meals. Our room had a large deck to lounge on and enjoy the sunset!
The bungalows are individually curated gems. They are filled with 5 star touches throughout. The view is absolutely stunning sunsets and mountain views and is a little mountainside oasis. It felt like we were staying in a rainforest treehouse but with every modern amenity one could desire. Lastly and definitely not least is the host, Nir. He created a personal touch and bent over backwards to make our stay the best in all of our travels throughout French Polynesia. It was like staying with a friend that wanted to make sure you had the best time in his own home!
We stayed in the overwater bungalow room, it was fantastic & great value for monday. You could see the fish and rays in the lagoon swimming underneath. Everything felt very covid secure & we had no worries while we were there. Staff were all super helpful. Its just a short walk into the town as well
Joel and Tatiana make you feel right at home and the location is something out of a movie. Incredible to have this island paradise all to yourself!
