The view is beautiful and you can buy a picnic basket and go for a picnic at a beautiful place that they recommend. Overall I would really recommend, we loved it.

The Alva Valley Hotel sits on the confluence of Alvoco and Alva rivers, in the quaint Ponte das Três Entradas. It is 10 km from Oliveira do Hospital and 24 km from Piódão. This hotel definitely exceeded our expectations. Parking was very easy, check in was painless, the staff - very kind and helpful to decide where to go for a hike and what things to see around. Very peaceful stay, every room is spacious and has a balcony that is located right by the river. Breakfast was served fresh with all the considerations regarding health. Excellent stay.

Seeing the beautiful horses galloping next to the room was truly amazing. Breakfast in the dining room was filled with fresh fruits from the farm and great tasting breads. Dinner was amazing with terrific wines from the farm both full bodied and light. Even the vegetarian options were perfect.
