Pretty little city or big town with a wonderful arr museum. Lots of nice cafes and restaurants and many of the younger staff speak some English. Not a hotspot for shopping. But with a fantastic history as the capital of Bukovina, Chernivtsi is well worth a visit.

I have stayed at La Roata together with my family, on my brother's recomendation, that stayed there the year before. I must say that the location is perfect. Beautiful traditional houses that give you that feeling of childhood. We have stayed in the newer villa, but the rooms were comfortavle and had all the amenities necessary. The breakfast is amazing, home cooked food and everthing is fresh. I have requested for non lactose milk and it was provided straight away. We will come back for sure.

The Mill is a great place to spend a couple of days or even a week. Its location in Bucovina is excellent (you get easily to the main attractions in the area, but you'll need a car), the staff was spotless (got my coffee at 6 o'clock in the morning, for instance), the rooms comfy and there's a garden where we actually spent most of our time while being there. Great food too. If we get back to Bucovina, we'll definitely search no further.
