The Staff upon our early arrival. CARIN, you are worth your weight in gold.... exceptional customer service, nothing was too much trouble, and couldnt do enough for us. Thank you Carin so much. I didnt really have the opportunity to see other staff, owing to the odd times of my stay, but im sure the whole team Is just as welcoming and proficient! Hotel beautiful..... location .. just stunning! Facilities incredible... hot tub overlooking the lake was fabulous. The breakfast deserves its own mention... sooooo much variety, all top quality food, cooked perfectly, my compliments to the kitchen staff, and the cleaning staff.. the place was spotless! Room sizeable and very comfortable. I wish i could live in this place! Such a positive experience thanks to Carin and the whole team! Well done guys... I stay in 17 -23 hotels all across europe and the eastern block each month,and this is my favourite of all! I will Definitely be back!!!

Located 2 km from Leksand’s city centre, amongst Dalarna’s green surroundings, this property offers cottage accommodation. It was clean, outstanding service, comfortable beds and even a kitchen and fridge in my room. I highly recommend to stay here. Very close to the city center.

Peacefully located by Lake Siljan, this Rättvik property features a private beach and waterfront terrace with panoramic lake views in a non alcoholic environment. Fantastic location directly at the lake with its own beach (and additional beach towels were available). Very friendly and helpful staff, nice clean room and good breakfast. I had the cheapest room category with shared shower, which was not a problem - it was clean and I never had to wait. I stayed after the Swedish holiday season, so maybe fewer guests, and no youth groups in the nearby camp huts. There are some shared spaces throughout the house for people to read or chat, which I found nicer than the usual hotel lobby. The hotel is 20 minutes walk from the train station and town center, or you can use one of their free bikes. They have canoes, and at the nearby campsite (10 minutes walk) there is a "kayakomat" for rental of kayaks and SUP boards (for a fee). There was lunch at the hotel, but no dinner. They provide a map of the town with restaurant tips, and there are at least two supermarkets in the town as well. Tea/coffee was available. No 24 hours reception, but I received an e-mail with a door code and description, so could also have checked in outside of reception hours. Really loved the place and would definitively stay there again.

This historic yet modern hotel is on top of Tällberg Mountain, next to Lake Siljan. It offers fine dining and a large garden. Guests enjoy free WiFi and sauna access. Beautiful views, very welcoming staff and excellent food. The set menu dinner was a particular bonus. The walking in the area was lovely though getting back to the hotel was always uphill !

Klockargården Hotel from 1937 offers tastefully decorated rooms in preserved timber houses surrounded by tranquil gardens. Lake Siljan is 1 km away. Breakfast was outstanding, with many different selections, including wonderful fresh breads. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay again if in the area.
