Overall facilities were well maintained and cared for. Located within 5-10 min walking distance to many local markets, Chantaboon waterfront community, Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Robinson, etc. Hotel was fully internationalized, so foreigners are welcome! Staffs were attentive, helpful and friendly. There was also a butterfly pea welcome drink for refreshment. You should take benefit of Buy 1 Get 1 drink during 14:00-16:00. Mapeed smoothies and Mapeed soda are really a MUST TRY. Main course was a la cart which either Asean or Western breakfast can be chosen (One order per person, but if you’d like more only Boiled rice Chantaboon style will be served). Buffet selections were not much, but rich with quality reminding of homemade cooking taste. We loved free flow Mapeed drink. Recommend to stay here and immerse yourself in nature and decent local food.

Baan Rim Ao features an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, a garden and restaurant in Chanthaburi. This 4-star hotel offers room service, luggage storage space and free WiFi. I usually don't like to stay in hotels, even the best and most famous ones. But the experience at Baan Rim Ao was exceptional! We planned a trip to Chanthaburi for two days to see the local sights and visit the jewelry market and didn't book the hotel in advance. We looked at what was available on booking for a reasonable price with 4 stars. 

 The hotel is not in the town itself but in a picturesque area near farms on the bay. We checked in not in tourist season and there was another couple from China staying in the entire hotel besides us. How surprised we were when in the evening a group of musicians came to the restaurant (there was even a saxophonist) and arranged a whole concert for us alone. And when they brought us the menu, we couldn't believe that the oysters cost no more than 160 Bt. We decided to try it and it turned out to be the best oysters in our life - the freshest and tender. 

 The staff is a separate story. No one speaks enough English to communicate with the guest. This is not a chain hotel where the staff is trained to international standards. And that's a good thing. Because they do everything with heart and full dedication to their work. No even the highest standards can reproduce this family atmosphere.

 We liked everything very much, down to the smallest detail. And we have also never seen such a perfectly clean pool! The man who takes care of the pool is a god in his business.
 I think Baan Rim Ao Hotel is the crown jewel of Chanthaburi.
