Hotel in Kabatoro
Kabatoro Lodge & Tourist Camp features a restaurant, bar, a garden and terrace located in Kabatoro, Kasese. The hotel has family rooms. At the hotel, each room comes with a balcony. This guest house is fine if you understand that it’s a budget place to stay that is conveniently located near the gate but not inside the park. We read the reviews beforehand so we weren’t surprised. There were lights but no other power and not much water coming out of the shower but enough to manage. Parking is secure. The staff were really kind and helpful and the breakfast was ok.

Kasese
Located within 46 km of Kibale Forest Corridor Game Reserve in Kasese, Rwenzori Turaco View Camp provides accommodation with seating area. On my three-week trip, this was probably one of my favorite places. I would have loved to stay a few weeks longer. Most of all it was because of the wonderful and lovely people who work at Rwenzori Turaco View Camp. The location is super. The camp is 15 minutes walk to the entrance of the national park (Rwenzori Mountains). You have to pay an entrance fee for this. However, the camp also offers activities outside the national park. For example a Hill Walk and Nature Walk. Both times I had very friendly and knowledgeable guides, which is highly recommended. The camp is a community camp which I appreciated very much because it meant that there were always people from the village or the surrounding area visiting the bar/restaurant. And Evalight, the manager, prepared (together with others) delicious food and created a very, very nice atmosphere, so I would have liked to stay longer.
Kasese
Complete with a garden, a terrace and a bar, Kazinga Wilderness Safari Camp is set in Kasese, 10 km from Queen Elizabeth National Park and 29 km from Kyambura Game Reserve. Breakfast was fine. Our Lodge was a bit of a walk and I suffer from Afib so we drove the 500 mtrs back and forth. Great staff. Francis rules! Wifi no good at outer Lodges so they need a booster.

Kasese
Located in Kasese, 8 km from Queen Elizabeth National Park, Wild Tracks Overland Camp provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Firstly, the staff at the property could not have done more to take better care of us during our stay. Alfred, the manager, assisted us with directions to the hotel, bookings in the park and supported us in repairing our rental car. He went above expectation for us and we couldn’t have been more grateful. Albright in the bar/restaurant was attentive and kind. Steven, the chef, prepared great meals for us on demand - the packed breakfasts for early morning drives were exceptional. The location of the property is a perfect base for the QENP. Around 5 minutes from the equator and the crater lake drive and around 10 minutes to the nearest park drive entrance. The room was comfortable, the shower was hot and we’re grateful for the hospitality.
