Located in Voelklip, a suburb of Hermanus, Mosselberg on Grotto Beach offers heated pool and courtyard. This elegant boutique hotel features free WiFi and is a 5-minute walk from the beach. I lived in many countries and am a seasoned traveler. This was probably the most spacious room I've ever stayed in. The room is large, has big glass doors opening onto the ocean with an open plan en suite bathroom. It is modern and well maintained. The way the facilities are laid out in the room shows somebody paid attention to detail. For example, the towels are right where you need them at the basin, not somewhere over there. 10/10 for this facility. I will stay there again in a heartbeat. We were held up by traffic and was running late for a wedding. The staff checked us in in two seconds and helped us with whatever we needed to get ready soon.

Everything! The hotel is beautiful, the staff are incredibly attentive and friendly. The room is very comfortable and we had a sea view which was spectacular. Bed was ridiculously comfortable with plenty of pillows, could not ask for a better stay.

I just stayed at one of the cottages at Springfontein wine estate, the Fisherman one! I fully enjoyed it, very peaceful and serene. It was the perfect getaway I was looking for... and I discovered their wines! A great place to stay, eat, and just chill out of Cape Town. Hermanus was our first stop in South Africa and what a great way to start off a holiday, by staying at Harbour House Hotel! Perfect location, we could view the ocean and could see whales from our room as well as through the glass doors of the corridor on our floor. Very centrally located, a minute's walk to everything, the whale museum, Gearing's point, and the Whale Festival venue, and a variety of restaurants, Pick Pay stores (5 minutes walk from hotel). We were at the hotel during the Whale Festival and it was so cheerful and fun. We got to see lots of whales just by walking a few feet from the hotel. The rooms were spectacular, spotlessly clean ( excellent housekeeping). The kettle and coffee maker (Nespresso coffee machine)and the supply of tea, coffe pellets for Nespresso, milk, sugar was more than adequate and always replenished every day. The toiletries was of excellent quality, the towels very white, soft and absorbent. The bed was comfortable and so were the pillows. Their breakfast was fixed but had a variety to choose from and very delicious and sumptuous. They had vegetarian options too. Services at the restaurant excellent. Their restaurant is extremely pretty with an option to sit out as well and watch the ocean. The concierge was excellent, with such friendly staff and always eager to ask how we are doing and if we wanted anything. They suggested Percy Tours for arranging the Capetown airport pick up and drop to Cape Town hotel. They would also organise your tours if required. Thank you Harbour House Hotel for such an unforgettable and a happy stay and holiday. We carry back wonderful memories of all of you .

The family room we booked was neat, clean and very spacious. It has all the amenities we needed and was close to the pool and dining are. The children were able to walk freely and there were no safety issues or concerns. The area surprisingly quiet despite being beside a main road and the veldfires did not cause any discomfort. Breakfast was always delicious and plentiful and their was always enough room in the large dining area. We enjoyed the food served at the restaurant and pool area.

Beautiful place, calm, feels like you are alone in the world. You actually live alongside the animals (baboons, ostriches...), dining is very good and staff perfect. We had the Vlei suite with amazing views on the estuary.
