And while the hotel is on Bali-time, there is no doubt that everything is in order and all plans and agreements are taken care of as agreed. The hotel has its own beach, a beautiful garden and while it is a bit out of the city it is not a problem as the hosts will drive you if necessary. The family room is big, the open roof Balinese bathroom is spacious and the beds are comfortable. Off the coast of Pemuteran is Menjangang - an island /nature park that possibly offers the best coral reef snorkling experience in Bali. The hosts helped us book a trip and it was beautiful. The resort offers a perfect get away to relax and enjoy the beautiful underwater Bali.

Sumberkima Hill is a private villa retreat where you can enjoy the privacy of an individual villa, but still have resort type services at your disposal. All villas are different and have their own unique features. There are also some rooms available with a shared pool. Please be aware it is difficult to change villas on arrival as villas have different owners.

We stayed at the incredible Murai villa. 4 days of pure bliss. We opted to stay here instead of Ubud and other parts of Bali. The restaurants in the retreat are both amazing. The staff are exceptionally kind and attentive. The retreat is able to set up scuba diving and other fun activities, if you choose do so such things. The private pool in the Villa itself is situated perfectly under the sun’s path with amazing views of the ocean and the volcano. I highly recommend Sumberkima Hill Retreat. It may be far from the airport or other parts of Bali, but it is absolutely worth it.

This is a gem of a place, we enjoyed our stay here so much we didn’t want to leave. The room was very clean, and quad room was perfectly functional for our family of four. Good hot water, air con and wifi. Lots of little extras too made our stay special. Kids loved the pool, and included breakfast was delicious and generous amount. The staff were also friendly and helpful. Housekeeping noticed that our shower drain was backed up and it was fixed straight away, we didn’t even have time to ask. Gardens were beautiful in true Bali fashion. It was a hot but easy 15 min walk to Pemeturan Beach, but to stay at the beach costs much more. Close to a number of warungs/restaurants.

Taman Sari is a wonderful hotel. We booked a 3 bedrooms villa at first, we found there is one room on the 2nd floor. Because my friends do have a lot of luggages, the hotel upgraded us to four rooms villa for free. Which is really sweet. I regret that we came here during the rainy season and the weather was not particularly good. I will definitely come back to Taman Sari next time if I have a chance! Thank all the stuffs very much
