Wonderful resort, excellent restaurant, ideal location, close to ski slopes, helpful staff. The view through the window to the lake is perfect. I highly recommend booking a sauna. The apartments are fully adapted for living with children, nicely furnished.

Levi is 17 km from the resort. The nearest airport is Kittilä Airport, 33 km from the property. I was super happy with everything! Sure it’s quite expensive, but totally worth it especially for people who want to see the Aurora. Staff was extremely familiar friendly everyone played with my 1 year old son, even tho he can be really cranky 😂 The safaris where nice and prices of the bar are totally appropriate compared with the local prices, so all in all would do it again!

Aurora Village Ivalo is situated in Ivalo and offers cabins with a glass roof, offering the possibility to spot the Northern Lights from the bed. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a tour desk and luggage storage space, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Guests can have a cocktail at the bar.

Saariselkä is 34 km from Aurora Village Ivalo, while Inari is 41 km from the property. The nearest airport is Ivalo Airport, 13 km from the resort. magical views to sleep under nice variety of food both for breakfast and dinner (and delicious) staff was very nice and helpful with everything activities: wooden sauna and ice swimming was incredible (must try!!) and so was feeding the reindeer! all in all, a magical experience that we hope to repeat soon

Free parking is available. Superb Experience! we got to see the northern lights on our aurora cabin. Friendly staff in the resto esp Buzz and May, very accommodating :)

Set on a private beach area of Lake Iso-Vietonen, these cottages are within 50 minutes’ drive of Rovaniemi and Pello. Each features a private sauna, free WiFi and lake-view terrace.

The closest supermarket is in 40 km away. Guests can enjoy fishing and hiking in the scenic surroundings. A frisbee golf course is available during summer. We loved absolutely everything. Somebody elase here said “home away from home”. One only needs clothes and laptop and can easily live there for a year without actually needing anything.

A fully equipped kitchen, dining area and flat-screen TV are featured in each Ranua Resort Holiday Villas apartment. All provide a fireplace, drying cabinet and 2 bathrooms. Some units also have a washing machine. We wanted to visit Ranua wildlife park to see Finnish animals and found it very easy to book an overnight stay in Villa Gulo Gulo. This included a free buffet breakfast as well as access to the wildlife park for 2 consecutive days for the price of one. We went on the afternoon on day of arrival and again the next morning, and saw all the animals over the two days. We stayed in Ahma which was perfect for a family of 5, and had excellent facilities, including a nice sauna, wood-fired heater and particularly nice lighting. We also booked an experience via Villa Gulo Gulo and went on an Aurora hunt by snowmobile at night. The warm clothing provided is a must as the temperatures are well below freezing and the wind chill factor is significant. Our Spanish tour guide was friendly and informative and we enjoyed hot Glögi and toasted marshmallows by a fire in the wilderness. Seeing the snow-laden trees at night was a special experience and this tour exceeded our expectations, even though we did not see the Aurora on the tour (due to cloudy weather). We would highly recommend staying at Villa Gulo Gulo with a family.

Set in Sompujarvi, 47 km from Koivu, Old Pine Husky Lodge offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. With a bar, the property also has barbecue facilities. The resort also provides free WiFi as well as a paid airport shuttle service. Everything was perfect. Room, breakfast, new year's eve dinner, home made Italian pizza. Even Northern lights.

The apartment comes with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, bed linen, towels, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a terrace with mountain views. For added privacy, the accommodation has a private entrance and soundproofing. Amazing location. Very well stocked with eveything you need. Sauna was awesome and they were very accomodating with all our requests.
