I especially like the breakfast buffet. Wide range of choices and good taste 👅 although we couldn’t see the northern lights that night due to heavy snow, we had an enjoyable night in the beautiful igloo. Highly recommend 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Saariselkä is 34 km from Aurora Village Ivalo, while Inari is 41 km from the property. The nearest airport is Ivalo Airport, 13 km from the resort. Incredible igloos, with breathtaking views! Really liked the sauna as well.

Free parking is available. The location of NLV is unique. Although it is situated within a short distance of just 5min walk from Saariselkä, you can admire the aurora from your cabin, without any excessive light pollution, and enjoy the activities in the snowy forest. You may easily walk even to the Ski Center (approx. 20min). The resort is perfectly organized. The main building hosts the reception, where there is always someone full of kindness to help you on anything you might need, and the super cozy lounge area where you can relax, have your breakfast or dinner. The meals are delicious, perfectly served with plenty of food and a great view outside! In the Safari House, the meeting place for all the activities close to the main building, you may ask for thermal/waterproof suits, mittens, boots and balaclavas, that you may keep during your stay. Activities: definitely book for a 5-10km Husky ride, a 2-hour Cross-country Skiing lesson and of course Aurora Hunting. Aurora Camps on the Border and by the Lake are probably their best. The activities are very well organized and the guides are super friendly and helpful. Although the Aurora Huntings are not trully huntings since they have a certain destination, it is a great experience, perfectly organized, with photo shootings by professional cameras. The cabins are super cozy, warm, clean, spacious, with amenities and a tablet on the wall as your link to the reception but mostly as your aurora alert, which truly works! The bathroom is also spacious. We saw the aurora both nights from our cabin, apart from our aurora huntings. But even if we hadn't, it is still an amazing experience to sleep literally under the stars and wake up with the view of a snowy forest!!! The helpfulness of the sales department is also worth to be mentioned. NLV is indeed a luxury option compared to other hotels and resorts nearby, but the overall experience that it offers undoubtedly is worth paying for.

Situated 11 km from Ivalo town centre, Ukonjärven Holiday Village offers chalets with free Wi-Fi access and flat-screen TV. It lies in a peaceful forest area by Lake Ukonjärvi, 22 km from Ivalo Airport.

Popular wintertime activities include cross-country skiing. Guests might also experience the northern lights. During summer, guests can rent boats or enjoy a swim at the private beach area. The location and accommodation is perfect and relaxing. The cabin was clean and the views across the lake from the many windows were exceptional. Had the Northern Lights been active, we could have seen them easily from the living room. It is located an easy distance from both Ivalo and Inari for dining options. Parking was directly beside the cabin. SmartTV and WiFi worked great.

This Finnish Lapland holiday village is situated right by the Ivalo River. It offers double rooms, holiday cottages, a caravan area, summer cottages and a camping area. Ivalo town centre is 1.5 km away.

Other facilities include a bookable lakeside sauna. The area also has maintenance, kitchen and sauna buildings. The resort has a restaurant with a large terrace. Good location and very reasonable prices. Great food at the restaurant and super friendly staff.

Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort offers 2 à la carte restaurants, which serve Laplandic specialities such as reindeer and char-grilled salmon. The hotel’s smoke sauna even has its own restaurant, Savusauna. Hotel is half board. Glass igloo has toilet but no shower. Unfortunately the wifi is not good enough. Staffs very helpful. Although the hotel is quite far from Rovaniemi, but the scenic was great.
