The resort is beautiful, clean, right by the beach and so much effort and thought was put into the decoration and furnishings. The pools are gorgeous and the infinity pool is one of the nicest I've seen. Extra points that it is an eco friendly pool cleaned with natural components, free of chlorine. Our highlight was certainly the incredibly comfortable bed and what we called "the egg" lounging bed by the pool. Another big plus are the solid fire doors used for the rooms and double glazed windows and balcony doors. This keeps the room nice and cool even without the air-conditioning running and the noise to a minimum. Also the fact that the restaurant has a full page of vegetarian options is great. The eggplant parmigiana is incredible!!! The staff is super friendly and helpful and makes you feel so welcome. Big shout out to Andy who goes above and beyond to make you feel special and Joe and his crew for the great entertainment. The location is right by the coral beach and there is great snorkeling in high tide. The resort also offers free use of kayaks and stand-up paddle boards. If we ever make it back to Fiji I'd definitely stay at Maui Palms again.

We Were very confused about the mixed reviews for this resort. Before arriving we were therefore a bit worried about the quality of the place. However, our experience was that this was a good place to stay. The people was so lovely and welcoming, there was drivers that could take you around (for a fee), there was a tour desk that gave advice on trips worth doing and how to take public transport, there was snorkelling opportunities, no kids so it was quiet even at the pool!, and the room was spacious with good A/C.
